How to charge the Sebo Softcase BP60 battery?

Use only the approved charger SEBO Power Charger ST 25/3. Connect the battery to the charger via the socket located under the flap. The screen indicates the charging status. Before first use, fully charge the battery.

What to do if the screen shows an error?

If the error is reversible (flashing), disconnect the battery from the device or charger to reset it. If the error persists, contact authorized customer service. A permanent error (steady) indicates a defective battery that needs replacement.

What is the battery capacity?

The battery has a nominal capacity of 12.3 Ah and a nominal energy of 308 Wh. The nominal voltage is 25.2 V.

Can I use the battery with another device?

No, use Sebo batteries only with appropriate Sebo devices. Check compatibility before use.

How to store the battery long-term?

Store the battery indoors, in a dry place below 20 °C. The screen turns off in storage. Recharge it before use if it has not been used for a long time.

What does the display with two LEDs lit mean?

Two LEDs lit (figure F) indicate a charge level between 34% and 66%. During charging, the LEDs flash. When charge reaches 33%, discharge becomes possible again in normal operation.

How to clean the battery terminals?

If the terminals are dirty, clean them with a dry, clean cloth. Make sure the battery and connectors are completely dry before use.

Is the battery waterproof?

No, do not immerse the battery in water. Avoid humidity and wet environments. Protect it from rain and splashes.

How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

Charging time depends on the charger and battery condition. With the ST 25/3 charger (max current 3 A), a full charge takes several hours. The battery reaches full capacity after approximately 5 charge/discharge cycles.

How to know if the battery is defective?

If the screen shows a permanent error (figure D) or if the battery does not work after reset, it is likely defective. Contact authorized customer service to replace it.

• Check the battery pack for damage before each operation. Do not use damaged battery packs.
• Only charge the battery pack with the approved chargers.

• Do not charge the battery pack for a long time and remove it from the device when not in use

• Do not store, charge or operate the battery pack in a wet or damp environment.
• Do not use the battery pack when it is wet or dirty. If the connectors of battery packs are dirty, clean them with a dry, clean cloth. Allow the battery pack and connectors to dry completely before use.
• Do not charge or use the battery pack in an explosive environment.

Display

The battery pack is equipped with a lighted display (figure A, area 1) to indicate:

• Operating status
• State of charge
• Error messages

The display is active when the battery pack is switched on by the battery pack, the charger or by pressing the power-on key (Fig. A, area 2). The battery remains active for approx. 60 minutes after activation.

CAUTION!

A completely discharged battery will be blocked against deep discharge. If the battery reaches a capacity of 33% during charging (two LEDs light up, Fig. F), discharging is possible again in normal operation.

Charging Process

The display is activated during the charging process. New battery packs reach full capacity after approx. 5 charging and discharging cycles. Recharge battery packs that have not been used for a long time before use. It is not possible to charge the battery pack outside the permissible temperature values. The battery pack charger will then display an error. If the display does not show anything during the charging process, refer to the Error table below.

Operation

1 Slide the battery pack into the holder of the unit.
2 Remove the battery pack from the unit after use.
3 Charge partially discharged battery packs after use.

Storage

Store battery packs indoors only with low humidity and below 20 °C (68°F).

The battery pack display switches off automatically during storage.

Note:

New battery packs must be fully charged before they are used for the first time. This cancels the transport mode of the battery pack.

The charging socket of the rechargeable battery pack is located under the flap (Fig. A, area 3).
