Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this manual for future reference or new users as it contains important instructions.

  • This appliance must not be used by people insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable people who cannot react to overheating.
  • When using the appliance for a long period of time, it is recommended to set the controller to the lowest temperature level to avoid the risk of overheating.
  • If the appliance is left on at a higher setting, the user may

suffer skin burns or heat stroke.

  • Do not crumple the appliance by placing objects on top of it during storage.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Children must be supervised to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
  • The appliance can be used by children over 3 years of age and under 8 years of age under supervision and with the controller previously set to the lowest temperature level.
  • The cable and controller of the appliance may create a risk of entanglement, strangulation, tripping or tripping hazards if not properly arranged. The user must ensure that ties and surplus power cable are securely arranged.
  • Children under 3 years of age must not use the electric blanket, as they are not able to react if it overheats.
  • The electric blanket should not be used by children unless the controller has been previously set to the lowest temperature by parents or guardians, or they have been explained how to use the appliance safely.
  • This electric blanket is not designed for use in hospitals.
  • This appliance is designed only for household use. It is not to be used as a blanket underneath or as a thermal mattress.
  • Do not stick needles, pins, safety pins or other sharp objects.

  • Do not use the electric blanket if it is folded or crumpled.

  • Do not use the electric blanket when it is wet or damp.
  • The appliance must only be used with the original provided controller.
  • The electric and magnetic fields of the electric blanket can interfere with the pacemakers' functioning. However, they are well below the limits (electric field strength: 5 000 V/m max, magnetic field strength: 80 A/m max, magnetic induction: 0.1 mT max). Therefore, consult your doctor and the pacemaker manufacturer before using the electric blanket.
  • As long as the electric blanket is in operation:

o Do not put it in a suitcase or laundry basket.

o Do not place near other heat sources, such as hot water bottles or other electric blankets.

  • During use, the electronic components of the controller become hot. Therefore, avoid covering or placing it on or under the electric blanket while it is in operation.
  • Do not coil, twist or bend the power cable with excessive force.
  • Check the appliance regularly for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the appliance has been misused or is not working, return it before switching it on again.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.
  • Avoid using the electric blanket on articulated beds and, if you do so, make sure that you do not catch the blanket and the power cord when adjusting the height of the bed.

  • This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
  • Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.
  • Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

2. OPERATION

  5. Connect the connector to the socket at the bottom of the electric blanket and the other end of the cable to a mains socket. Make sure that the power socket is not too far away and that the power cable does not hang down to avoid tripping over it.

  6. Before the electric blanket can be used at the highest temperature, it first needs to be

slightly warmed up to a lower temperature. To do this, set the temperature to level 3 for about 15 minutes. In this way, the temperature will gradually increase. When the electric blanket has warmed up a little, select the desired heat level using the temperature adjustment button.

- To switch off the appliance, press the power button.

Note: The electric blanket has an overheating protection system and is designed to operate continuously for 12 hours. If you wish to extend the time of use, it is recommended to let it cool down for at least 5 minutes before using it again.

  • Plug the electric blanket into the power supply.
  • Switch it on by pressing the power button on the controller, then press the temperature setting button. The LCD display will show the set temperature level.
  • The electric blanket features 10 heating levels, with 0 being the default level. To increase or decrease the heat level, press the increase and decrease buttons. The temperature will increase or decrease in one level intervals, until it reaches level 10.
  • If you notice that the temperature is too high, reduce the temperature level.
  • Change the temperature setting to level 1 before going to sleep.
  • To switch off the appliance, press the power button. The display will switch off too. Finally, unplug it from the socket.

Timer with automatic switch-off

  • The electric blanket has a programmable timer with automatic switch-off for up to 12 hours. The default setting is 8 hours.
  • If you wish to change the automatic switch-off time, once the desired temperature level has been set, press the timer button and select the setting time between 1 and 12 hours with the increase and decrease buttons. Each time you press the buttons, the setting will increase or decrease by 1 hour.

3. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the electric blanket or when it is not in use, follow the instructions below:

  • Make sure that the appliance is switched off.
  • Unplug it from the socket.
  • Remove the connector that connects the controller to the electric blanket.
  • Let the electric blanket cool down before cleaning it.

  • Small stains can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, a little liquid detergent for delicate fabrics.
  • Warning: The electric blanket should not be dry cleaned, folded, tumble dried or ironed.
  • If it is very dirty, you can wash it in the washing machine. Use a detergent for delicate fabrics according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not wash the electric blanket too often to avoid excessive wear.
  • When drying the electric blanket, do not hang it with clothes pegs.
  • Do not expose to heat sources such as heaters or direct sunlight.
  • Make sure the blanket is completely dry before putting it back into operation.
  • Never switch on the electric blanket to dry it.

Storage

  • If you want to store the electric blanket, let it cool down before folding it up.
  • If you are not going to use the electric blanket for a long time, it is recommended to store it in its original box in a dry place and not to place any objects on top of it.
  • To avoid creasing, do not place objects on top of it during storage.
