Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.

  • To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.

About this appliance

The Tristar FR-9403SU is a double basket airfryer that you can use for grilling, baking and roasting food using hot air without the use of oil.

Intended use

This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic, non-commercial use.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

- farm houses;

- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments:

- bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Remove all packaging material.
  • Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.
  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal and level surface, do not place the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
  • Insert power cable into the earthed power socket
  • When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.

USE

  • Turn on the power supply: all icons and the display will light up for 1 second. The buzzer will sound briefly, then the power icon will turn red, and the machine will enter shutdown mode. If the frying basket is not inserted, the corresponding digital display will show "OPEN".
  • Activate Standby Mode: Click the power/pause button to turn it green. In this mode, you can select the left and right baskets.
    • Automatic Power Off: If no action is taken for 5 minutes, the power icon will turn red automatically.
  • Select a Menu: Directly press the menu icons to choose the desired menu. The selected menu will blink, and the other 7 menus will light up continuously.
  • Adjust Temperature: Use the Temperature + and - buttons to adjust the temperature freely within the range of 60°C to 200°C. Adjustments are made in 5°C steps. Hold the + or - button to adjust temperature faster.
  • Adjust Time: Use the Time + and - buttons to adjust the time freely within the range of 1–60 minutes. Adjustments are made in 1-minute steps. Hold the + or - button to adjust time faster.
  • Display Temperature and Time: For each selected mode, the temperature and time will switch to display the corresponding values.
  • Start the Machine: After selecting the desired menu, click the key to start the machine. The selected menu will remain lit, and the time/temperature display will show the current values.

  • Adjust Settings During Operation: you can continue to adjust the temperature and time during operation, including adjusting baskets 1 and 2.

  • Pause the Machine: Press the start/pause button to pause the machine. The power light will turn green. To pause only one side, press "1" or "2" followed by "Start/Pause".
  • Shutdown: To turn off the machine, click the power icon. The display will show "End," the motor will stop after 20 seconds, and the power icon will turn red. The buzzer will also shut off.
  • Automatic Standby: If the product is not heating or there is no user interaction for 5 minutes, it will automatically enter standby mode with the power button turning red.
  • After Heating Ends: Once the heating process is complete, the machine will beep 2 times and show "End" on the display, then the power button will turn red.

Turning off the buzzer sound

- When pressing any key, the buzzer will sound for 0.2 seconds. Hold both the Shake indicator button and Sync finish button for 3 seconds to turn off the buzzer sound (during shutdown or "End" mode). To turn the buzzer sound back on, press the same keys again.

Mode Selection

  • Enter Mode Selection: Press the red power button, followed by either the "1", "2" or "MATCH" button to turn on the machine.
  • Select Mode: In mode selection: Click "1" or "2" to choose the left or right basket to work independently. Click the "MATCH" button to select the double-basket synchronous operation. In this case, both baskets will work together. The divider can be removed from the basket.
  • Return to Standby: Press the green power button to return to standby mode (only the red power button will light up).
  • Select Menu: Under the mode selection menu, click the corresponding "1" or "2" icon to choose a menu. By default, all 8 menu buttons are lit. Select any function menu, and the selected menu will blink while the time, temperature, "Start/Pause", and "Sync" buttons light up. If the selected menu supports the "SHAKE" function, the "SHAKE" button will blink. The digital display will alternate between the default time and temperature.
  • Adjust Baskets Independently: Press *1* or *2* to select the left or right basket while the machine is running, and adjust the temperature and time using the "+" or "-" buttons.
  • Start Working: After setting the desired parameters, press the "Start" button. The selected basket will light up, and the digital display will alternate between the remaining time and temperature.

Synchronization Functions

  • Activate Sync End: The synchronization end function must be set before starting. After starting, it cannot be changed. When selected, the corresponding icon will flash, indicating that synchronization is enabled.
  • Operation of Sync End: If both baskets reach the same time, both will work together. The "HOLD" icon will show when one basket is waiting for the other to catch up.
  • Error Handling: If the "HOLD" basket has a shorter time than the active basket, it will wait until both baskets are synchronized.
  • Deactivation: If the frying time of one basket is longer than the other, both will start working together immediately.
  • Adjust Both Baskets Simultaneously: During operation, adjusting the time and temperature will affect both baskets at the same time.
  • Adjust One Basket Independently: To adjust one basket during operation, press "1" or "2" and use the temperature and time buttons to adjust that specific basket.
  • Match Mode Active: When "MATCH" mode is active, the corresponding indicator will remain on.

SHAKE Function

  • Enable SHAKE: Before starting, the SHAKE button will flash. Press it to enable the SHAKE function. During operation, the display will show "food and turn" as a reminder to shake the food.
  • Reminder: SHAKE reminders will be enabled by default based on the selected menu. The buzzer will beep once when it's time to flip the food. You can turn off the SHAKE function before starting by pressing the SHAKE button again.
  • After Starting: Once the cooking starts, SHAKE reminders will flash when it's time to flip, and the buzzer will prompt. You can disable the SHAKE function after the start. The SHAKE function cannot be adjusted during operation.

Removing the Frying Basket

  • Return Basket: If the basket is returned within 5 minutes, both baskets will resume operation based on the previously set time.
  • Exit Standby Mode: If the basket is not returned within 5 minutes, the airfryer will stop and enter standby mode.
  • Error Message: If the frying basket is not properly set, the display will show "Pt" to indicate an error.

Furnace Lamp Function

  • Lamp During Cooking: The furnace lamp will turn off automatically 2 minutes after starting cooking.
  • Lamp in Shutdown State: The furnace lamp is off during shutdown or when the frying basket is removed.
  • Manual Lamp Control: During any state, press the light button to turn on the furnace light. It will turn off automatically after 2 minutes.

  • When the selected menu indicator goes off, carefully pull the fry basket out from the appliance, place the food material inside the fry basket (Attention: do not exceed the maximum line); Put the fry basket back into the airfryer.
  • When the program finishes, the screen will display 'End and the device will beep 2 times.
  • Check if the ingredients are ready. If the ingredients are not ready yet, simply slide the basket back into the appliance and set the timer to a few extra minutes.
  • To remove small ingredients, like French fries, carefully pour them from the pot into a bowl or onto a plate. For larger or more delicate ingredients, use a pair of tongs to lift them out of the pot and place them into a bowl or onto a plate.

- Do not turn the basket upside down while the air fryer rack is still in the basket, as any excess oil collected at the bottom of the basket may spill onto the ingredients.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the power cable when the appliance is not in use or unattended, and before cleaning.
- Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
- Allow all parts to dry completely or dry them with a towel.
