Intended use

The fan is designed exclusively for ventilating dry rooms.

It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.

Only use the fan as described in this operating manual.

1. Use this device only in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
2. Remove the packaging and ensure that the device is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the device and contact the service centre or your dealer.
3. Keep children away from packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation if swallowed!
4. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre to avoid any possible risks.
5. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the information on the device type plate.

1. The electrical socket to which you connect the device must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.

2. Avoid using an extension cable. If unavoidable, only use tested, earthed extension cables with a sufficient cross-section. The cable must be completely unrolled to prevent overheating and fire.

3. It is prohibited to alter or modify the characteristics of this device. Only use replacement parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Failure to comply will void the warranty and guarantee.

4. If the device is defective, switch it off immediately and contact your dealer or the customer hotline.

5. For any repairs to the device, the mains plug or the cable always and exclusively contact customer service centres authorised by the manufacturer. The contact details can be found at www.becool.at.

6. Children under 8 years of age and persons with limited physical, mental, sensory or mental abilities may only use this device under appropriate supervision and if they have been given detailed instructions on how to use it safely.

7. Do not operate the device unattended. Always switch off the device if you leave the room.

9. Do not twist or kink the power cord. Ensure that it is completely unrolled and not wound up.

6. Place the appliance on a stable and level surface and keep a distance of at least 1 metre around it so that air circulation is not impeded.

7. Never cover the appliance.

8. Never insert fingers, pens or other objects into the device and ensure that the air inlet and outlet are never blocked. Also keep hair and loose clothing away to avoid injury.

9. Always switch off the device before unplugging it.

10. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the device from the mains. Always pull on the plug.

11. Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shock.

2. Clean the device only with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents and never immerse the device in water.

4. Store the device in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children when not in use.

Function description

Switching on/off

Press the power button ( ) to switch on the fan. Press the power button ( ) again to switch it off.

Wind speed

Press the SPEED button on the remote control or the / buttons on the control panel to adjust the fan speed.

Timer

The fan is equipped with a 12-hour timer.

Press the button repeatedly to set 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. up to a maximum running time of 12 hours. The selected number of hours is shown on the display. After the set time has elapsed, the fan switches off automatically and goes into standby mode. If you want the fan to run without a time limit, set the timer to "

Oscillation

Press the "button to activate the oscillation function.

Press the "button again to stop the oscillation function.

Mode

Press the " " button to select the desired wind mode (normal wind, natural wind and sleep mode).

Light

Press the 'button to switch on the night light function.

Anion function

The anion function is automatically activated as soon as the device is in operation

The air is ionised as it enters the device and directed to a positively charged surface inside. This allows dust and smoke particles to be filtered out of the air.

- During operation, the device generates negatively charged particles ("anions").

- These anions attach themselves to dust and smoke particles in the air. This makes the particles heavier and means they are more likely to remain in the device (on a positively charged surface) or settle more quickly on surfaces.

- The result: the air appears cleaner because fine suspended particles are reduced.

How to make the most of this function

- Run the anion function with the windows closed so that the air in the room circulates and particles are bound more effectively.

- Clean the device regularly according to the instructions (e.g. wipe down the air outlets/collector surfaces, if accessible) so that bound particles are not stirred up again.

- Combine the anion function with regular ventilation as needed.

Preparing the remote control - Inserting or replacing the battery

Please note the following instructions:

Initial operation:

To use the remote control for the first time, pull the plastic cover out of the batt compartment on the back of the remote control.

Change the battery:

Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery and always pay attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder all the way back into the remote control.

Note: If you do not use the remote control for a longer period of time (4 weeks longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Correct use of the remote control

Point the remote control directly at the front of the device and ensure that there are no obstacles between the remote control and the device.

NOTE: Please handle the remote control with care. Do not expose it to direct sunlight and keep it away from heat sources.

Cleaning

Switch off the device and unplug the mains plug. Allow the device to cool down briefly if necessary.

- Dusting the air vents: Carefully clean the inlet and outlet vents with a soft brush or duster. Do not insert any hard objects.

- Prolonged non-use: Store the device in a dry, dust-free place and, if possible, cover it with a protective cover to prevent dust from entering.

- Avoid at all costs: Do not use aggressive, abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agents; do not rinse the device with water, do not immerse it, do not use steam or high-pressure cleaners.

- No internal cleaning: Do not open the device; maintenance work inside the device may only be carried out by authorised service personnel.

WARRANTY

With this quality product from BE COOL, you have made a choice for innovation, durability and reliability.

We provide a 2-year warranty for this BE COOL device, valid in Austria from the date of purchase! If, contrary to expectations, your device requires servicing during this period, we hereby guarantee free repair (spare parts and labour) or (at the discretion of Schuss) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a credit note for the current value.

In the case of air conditioning units, please contact the customer hotline (see sticker on the unit or cover page of the operating instructions) as a first step. For fans, please contact your specialist dealer or us directly. Please note that repair work not carried out by an authorised repair shop in Austria will immediately invalidate this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

• We accept no liability for consequential damage resulting from improper use.
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
• Damage due to failure to follow the operating instructions.
• Devices that are used commercially, even if only partially.
• Devices that have been mechanically damaged by external influences (falls, impacts, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as aesthetic signs of wear and tear.
• Devices that have been handled improperly
• Devices that have not been opened by our authorised service workshop.
- Damage caused by air conditioning units with condensation drain valves that have not been closed properly or water containers that have not been inserted correctly.
• Unmet consumer expectations.
- Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning or power surges.
• Devices on which the type designation and/or serial number has been altered, deleted, made illegible or removed.
• Services outside our authorised workshops, transport costs to an authorised workshop or to us and back, and the associated risks.

We expressly point out that within the warranty period, a flat fee of €60 (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged in the event of operating errors or if no fault is found.

The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year warranty is only valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the retailer and the complete device description) and the corresponding warranty certificate, on which the device type and serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the device) must be noted! Without presentation of the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this warranty and remain in full force and effect.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in cases of gross negligence or intent. In any case, liability for lost profits, expected but unrealised savings, consequential damages and damages arising from third-party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
