How to reset the repeater to factory settings?

Press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the LEDs flash. The settings return to default.

How to access the configuration interface?

Connect via WiFi to the network Easy Wifi 300_XXXXXX or via Ethernet. Open a browser and type http://easywifi.config or 192.168.1.11. Use the default password 12345678.

What to do if I cannot connect to the interface?

Check that you are connected to the repeater's network (not your box). Make sure the IP address is correct. If necessary, reset the device.

How to change the network name (SSID) and WiFi password?

Log into the configuration interface, go to WiFi or Wireless settings, change the SSID and security key, then save.

How to use the repeater in access point mode?

Connect the repeater to your box via an Ethernet cable. In the interface, select Access Point mode. The repeater will then broadcast its own WiFi network.

Where to place the repeater for optimal signal?

Place it halfway between your box and the area to cover, in an open space. The box signal should be at least 60% on the repeater.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The Power LED indicates power on. The WiFi LED flashes during network connection and becomes solid once connected. The WPS LED lights up during pairing.

Is the repeater compatible with any box or router?

Yes, it is compatible with any WiFi access point complying with 802.11 b/g/n standards on 2.4 GHz.

How to update the repeater's firmware?

Log into the interface, go to System Tools or Update section. Download the firmware file from the manufacturer's website and upload it.

Why is the speed slower than advertised?

The actual speed is halved in repeater mode (because it receives and transmits simultaneously). Move obstacles away, reduce interference, or switch to wired access point mode for maximum speed.

How DOES THE REPEATER WORK?

Is the WiFi signal of your modem too weak in certain rooms in your home? The repeater allows you to relay, and therefore extend the signal of your WiFi base (modem or router) in areas with weak coverage.

The repeater “repeats” an existing WiFi signal to allow you benefit from an extended WiFi network. The repeater uses the same frequency band to receive the WiFi network and emit the repeated network.

Your internet modem emits 100% of the wireless signal on the same frequency band.

How CAN YOU OPTIMISE RECEPTION OF THE SIGNAL?

To optimise the signal emitted by the repeater, it is important that you position it correctly within the coverage area of your internet modem or router:

If you place it too close to your modem, the repeater will not be able to extend your coverage area.
. If you place it too far away, the quality of the repeated signal will be poor.

The repeater must be placed in an area without any electromagnetic interference, and ideally with the least possible obstacles.

The WiFi coverage of a modem or repeater can significantly be reduced by walls and floors.

Avoid, for example, transmitting through heavy concrete walls, metal objects or having a microwave oven nearby.

How CAN YOU CHECK THE QUALITY OF THE SIGNAL?

A good way to check that you have chosen a good position for the repeater, is to check the signal strength in the settings interface.

To do this, connect to your repeater's interface either through WiFi or as a wired network (Ethernet). Then open your web browser to enter the IP address relevant to your product.

1. Click on Detection and select your WiFi network (this is generally your modem's WiFi network).

Check that the signal you want to amplify is at least 60%. Below this level, the signal strength is too weak to ensure sufficient speed.

If this is the case, move the repeater closer to the modem to improve the signal strength and ensure you are in an open area (without any walls or obstacles) between the repeater and the modem.
