We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone

else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This product is designed to dry and style human hair.
The product must not be used on artificial or animal hair. Do not use the product for any other purpose.
The product is only intended for use in private households and while traveling. The product is not suitable for commercial purposes.

■ The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.

- Scope of delivery

After unpacking the product, check if the delivery is complete and if all parts are in good condition. Remove all packing materials before use.

In the case of damage resulting from non-compliance with these operating instructions the warranty claim becomes invalid!

No liability is accepted for consequential damage! In the case of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions, no liability is accepted!

⚠ WARNING! RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE OR ACCIDENT TO INFANTS AND CHILDREN!

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from the packaging material.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of

experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

■ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

⚠ WARNING! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this product solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.

⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

• Do not drop the product to avoid damage to the product.
  ■ To prevent the product from overheating, never block the air inlet and air outlet during use.

⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the mains supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.

■ Before connecting the product to the mains supply, check that
the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
■ Regularly check the mains plug and the mains cord for damages. If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
■ Protect the mains cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the mains cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

The use of extension cords is not recommended. If the use of an extension cord is necessary, it must be designed for a current flow of at least 10 A. Lay cords in such a way that they may not be tripped over or otherwise damaged.

■ When the product is connected to the mains supply, never leave it unattended.

- Do not operate the product with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands.

- Do not pull the mains plug out of the electrical outlet by the mains cord. Do not wrap the mains cord around the product.

■ Protect the product, its mains cord and mains plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.

- Switch off the product before - cleaning, - disconnecting the product from the mains supply.

• When the product is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the product is switched off.
  No action is needed from users to shift the product between 50 and 60 Hz. The product adapts itself for both 50 and 60 Hz.
• Incorrect setting of the dual voltage selector will damage the product.
• Do not use any attachment which is not provided by the manufacturer.

Before first use

NOTE: The product may give off some odour during first use. These are production or transport residue that will quickly subside.

Remove the packaging. Check if all parts are included.

Operation

Off mode

The product enters off mode automatically when it is connected to the mains supply and the 0/I/II switch 9 is in 0 position.

☐ When the product is not in use: Remove the mains plug 8 from the mains supply to save energy.

● Unfolding the handle

(Fig. E)

NOTE: Do not switch on the product if the handle 5 is still in position a or b.

☐ Unfold the handle 5 until the foldable joint 4 engages in position c.

- Setting the voltage

NOTE: Required tool for setting the voltage: Flat-head screwdriver

Drying hair

1. Before connecting the product to the mains supply: Set the dual voltage selector 6 to the voltage suitable for your current location.
2. Connect the mains plug 8 to a suitable mains outlet.
3. Select the desired air flow/heat level:

0/I/II 9	Air flow/heat level
0	Product off
I	Product on: □ Gentle air flow □ Low heat
II	Product on: □ Strong air flow □ High heat

1. After use: Slide the 0/I/II switch 9 to position 0 to switch off the product. The product enters off mode.
2. Disconnect the mains plug 8 from the mains outlet.
3. Let the product cool down completely.

NOTE: In the event of overheating, the product switches off automatically. In this case, slide the 0/1/II switch 9 to position 0 and disconnect the mains plug 8 from the mains outlet.

Using the concentrator nozzle

CAUTION! Risk of burns!

Do not touch the air outlet 2 when the product is switched on and the air outlet is still hot.
Do not touch or remove the concentrator nozzle 1 when it is still hot.

NOTE: We recommend to use gentle air flow and low heat level when styling hair.

1. Attach the concentrator nozzle 1 to the air outlet 2. Rotate the concentrator nozzle to adjust its orientation, if necessary.
2. Switch on the product. Use the concentrator nozzle 1 to direct the air flow onto a specific section of the hair.
3. Removing the concentrator nozzle 1 from the air outlet 2: Pull the concentrator nozzle off with a downward motion.

Using the cooling mode

i NOTES:

■ After styling the hair: Use the cooling mode to make the hairstyle last longer.
- The cooling mode can only be selected when the product is switched on.
☐ Use the button 10 to switch the cooling mode on or off:

Press and hold	□ Switched on□ The product emits a cool air flow.
Release	□ Switched off□ The cool air flow stops.

Ionisation function

- Ions are continuously applied to the hair. This reduces the static loading of the hair and improves its stylability. The hair becomes soft, smooth, glossy, and easier to style.

NOTE: We recommend the use without attachment for the optimum activity of the ions.

● Cleaning and care

⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock!

• Always switch off the product and disconnect the mains plug 8 from the mains outlet before cleaning the product.
• Do not immerse the product's electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
  ⚠️ CAUTION! Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or material to clean the product.
  ☐ Remove the concentrator nozzle 1 from the air outlet 2.

Removing the filter cover (Fig. G):

1. Rotate the filter cover 3 in counter-clockwise direction so that ● on the filter cover is aligned with ○ on the housing.
2. Remove the filter cover 3 from the air inlet 3.

Installing the filter cover (Fig. G):

1. Put the filter cover 3 on the air inlet 3. ● on the filter cover must be aligned with ○ on the housing.
2. Rotate the filter cover 3 in clockwise direction so that ● on the filter cover is aligned with ● on the housing.

● Cleaning the housing, filter cover and concentrator nozzle

☐ Wipe the housing, filter cover 3 and the concentrator nozzle 1 with a slightly damp cloth.

☐ For stubborn soiling, add a mild cleaning agent on the cloth.
□ Dry all parts thoroughly.

- Cleaning the air inlet

□ Wipe the air inlet 3 with a dry cloth.

Storage

☐ Store the product at a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
☐ Remove the concentrator nozzle 1 from the air outlet 2.
☐ Fold the handle 5 until the foldable joint 4 engages in position a.
□ Store the product in the original packaging when it is not in use.
□ Alternatively, hang the product on its hanging loop 7.

- Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.

Product:

The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility.

Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.

The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.

● Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your claim, observe the following instructions:

Make sure to have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 472278_2407) available as proof of purchase.

You can find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the instruction manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.

If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below either by telephone or by e-mail.

Once the product has been recorded as defective you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
