How to restore default settings of the scanner?

Simply scan the "Restore default settings" barcode provided in the manual (section 2.1). This resets all settings.

Can the scanner read barcodes from a phone screen?

Yes, the appLS21 is designed to read barcodes both on paper and directly from the screen of any device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).

What is the default scan mode and how to change it?

By default, the mode is manual (press the button to scan). To switch to automatic mode, scan the corresponding barcode in section 3.1 of the manual.

How to clean the scanner window?

Use a brush to remove debris, then a soft cloth (like a lens cleaning cloth). Do not spray any liquid directly on the window and avoid any solvents except cleaning water.

Does the scanner have a standby function?

Yes, if the scanner remains inactive for 30 minutes, it automatically enters standby mode. It wakes up as soon as it detects a barcode.

What to do if the scanner stops responding?

Disconnect the USB cable from the host computer to turn it off, then reconnect after a few seconds. This restarts it.

Can I disable the scanner sound?

Yes, scan the "No sound" barcode in section 3.2 of the manual. To re-enable, scan "With sound".

Is it possible to scan wirelessly?

No, the appLS21 is a wired scanner with USB interface. The cable is included and must be connected to a host computer.

How to configure the keyboard layout?

The manual includes a barcode menu for interface settings, including keyboard layout. Scan the code corresponding to your layout (AZERTY, QWERTY, etc.).

Is the scanner compatible with common operating systems?

1. Introducción

Please carefully read all the contents of the manual before using the products described in this manual to ensure that the product is safely and effectively preserved for future use. appLS21 is a high performance barcode reader. It can quickly decode any 1D and 2D barcode symbology, including QR codes, from paper or directly from the screen of any device, perfect for customer-facing applications. Includes a holder for easy hands-free reading.

1.1. Product display

1.2. Start-up, shutdown, standby and restart

Start-up: Connect host computer with scanner, which will automatically start-up and in working state.

Shutdown: Remove the USB which is connected with host computer.

Standby: Scanner with automatic sleep standby function, if 30 minutes without work it will be in standby mode, but it will automatically start-up when barcode approach.

Restart: If the scanner crashes or doesn't respond, please switch it off and restart.

1.3. Maintenance

• The window must be kept clean, the supplier do not bear the guarantee responsibility due to the improper maintenance.
• Avoid the window being wear and tear or scratched by hard object
• Use the hairbrush to remove the stain on the window
• Clean the window with a soft cloth, such as lens cleaning cloth
• Spraying liquid onto the window is prohibited.
• Prohibit any cleaning solvents, except for the cleaning water.

2. Barcode menu

This user manual includes Symbologies settings, function settings (lighting, keyboard layout, factory default, etc.) and interface settings. If you need to change the function you need, scan the configuration according to the configuration code below.

3. Basic settings
