PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using the heated jacket/hoddie/vest. Do not use while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention may result in serious personal injury.
Do not abuse the power cable. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the heated jacket/hoddie/vest. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Do not plug power source to USB port or heating elements port on the portable power adapter. The portable power adapter is not designed as a charger to charge the battery pack. Charging the battery pack through the portable power adapter creates a risk of injury and fire.
Do not wear any outer wear with this jacket/hoddie/vest. Discomfort may occur. The jacket/hoddie/vest reaches temperatures that could result in a burn.
Do not use as a blanket. The heating elements could touch bare skin.
Jacket/hoddie/vest misuse can result in personal injury and property damage hazards.
PRODUCT USE AND CARE
Do not use the heated jacket/hoddie/vest if the power button does not turn it on and off. The user must be able to easily change the heat setting to keep the jacket/hoddie/vest temperature at a comfortable level.
Disconnect the battery pack from the heated jacket/hoddie/vest when not in use. Such preventative safety measures reduce the risk of starting the heated jacket/hoddie/vest accidentally.
Store out of reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with these instructions to operate the heated jacket/hoddie/vest. Jacket/hoddie/vest misuse can result in personal injury and property damage hazards.
General Product Safety Warnings
Periodically check heated jacket/hoddie/vest for wear and damage to parts. If damage or excessive wear is discovered, have the heated jacket/hoddie/vest repaired before use.
PRODUCT USE AND CARE
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
If battery release tabs are cracked or otherwise damaged, do not insert into tool. Battery can fall out during operation.
Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.

Use only with BAT414 or the batteries listed in the battery/charger list. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of jacket/hoddie/vest malfunctions, injury and fire.
Disconnect battery when not in use or when battery is moist or wet. Moisture could damage the battery pack and create a risk of fire.
Do not use on an infant, children, an invalid, a sleeping or unconscious person, or a person with poor blood circulation. User must be immediately aware of jacket/hoddie/vest temperature and their comfort level to avoid overheating and possible burns.
If you have a medical condition making you sensitive to overheating, or if you use any personal medical devices, consult the device manufacturer and /or your physician to determine if use of this product is appropriate.

If battery release tabs are cracked or otherwise
damaged, do not insert into portable power adapter. Battery can fall out during operation.
Connecting Heating Elements Power Cable
Locate the Heating elements power cable 6 inside the Portable power adapter pocket 5, and plug it into the Portable power adapter's Heating elements power port 11. With a charged battery, the Power button and heat level controller 1 will temporarily light up, indicating the system is powered and ready to be turned on.
To ensure maximum runtime, unplug the holster from the jacket/hoddie/vest and remove the battery from the Portable power adapter 8 when not in use.

Do not allow the cords to become pinched. Pinched
wires increase the risk of shock and burns.
Store the portable power adapter into its designated pocket during usage of the jacket/hoddie/vest.
Jacket/Hoddie/Vest Operation
To turn the jacket/hoddie/vest's heating elements on, first make sure a charged battery pack is installed.
To turn the jacket/hoddie/vest on, hold the Power button 1 until the LED lights up "RED." Note that when initially turned on, the jacket/hoddie/vest will be in the "High Heat" level.

Do not touch heating elements with bare skin.
Burns can result from improper use.
To turn the jacket/hoddie/vest off, hold the Power button 1 until the LED light goes off.
If the heated jacket/hoddie/vest turns off unexpectedly, check connections and charge the battery pack.

Do not use the heated jacket/hoddie/vest if the
power button does not turn it on and off. The user must be able to easily change the heat setting to keep the jacket/hoddie/vest temperature at a comfortable level.
Operating Instructions
Adjusting the Heat Level
To adjust the heat level, press the Power button and Heat level controller 1 once for each level. The following LED light colors represent the three heat levels.
RED - high heat
GREEN - medium heat
BLUE – low heat (recommended for continuous use)

Temperature sufficiently high to cause burns may occur regardless of control setting. If any discomfort occurs, shut off jacket/hoddie/vest power immediately.
USB Port Battery Backup Operation
The USB port battery backup functionality provides users with the ability to obtain extra power from their Bosch 12V max battery, in the event a cell phone, mp3 player or tablet PC runs low on power.

Do not connect any device that is not
compatible with 5VDC, 1A power source to the USB port on the portable power adapter. Charging of non-compatible devices may create a risk of portable power adapter malfunction.
The Portable power adapter 8 can be placed within the Portable power adapter pocket 5 or can be attached to the user's belt with the convenient Belt clip 12.
To use the USB cord supplied with your personal device, plug the USB cable into the USB port 10 and the other end into your device. To activate or wake-up the USB power port, press the USB Port wake-up button 9 for 3 seconds (see page 6).
When pressed, the USB port will determine if a device is plugged in. If so, the USB port will remain on as long as the device is attached for a maximum of 2 hours. If after 60 seconds, the port does not detect a device initially connected, it will deactivate, or go to sleep, conserving battery power.
