How to connect the water inlet hose?

Make sure the faucet is open and the hose is properly connected to the back of the appliance. Also check that the paper filter is in place.
Important: do not use without water.

How much ground coffee to use?

Add between 90 and 105 grams of ground coffee to the paper filter. This corresponds to about 6 to 12 cups depending on your setting.

How to start brewing?

Turn on the appliance and wait for the ready indicator to light up. Then lower the brew button. To stop, raise the button.

The ready indicator does not light up, what to do?

Check that the water tank is filled and the inlet hose is properly connected. If the problem persists, a beep sounds. Contact customer service.
Possible cause: thermal protection or short circuit.

How to descale the machine?

Use a commercial descaler, lemon juice, or cleaning vinegar. Mix 1/3 product with 2/3 water. Pour into the tank, run a brew cycle without coffee, let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water.

How to clean the appliance?

Unplug and let it cool down. Clean the funnel, carafe and tubes with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
Caution: do not immerse in water.

Can I use hot water in the tank?

No, only use fresh, cold water. Hot water could damage the appliance and cause dangerous steam splashes.

What to do if the appliance does not turn on?

First check the electrical outlet and power cord. If the fuse has blown or the switch is damaged, contact Vevor's after-sales service via www.vevor.com/support.

Can I prepare something other than coffee?

This appliance is designed only for heating water and brewing coffee. Do not use for other liquids to avoid damage and risk of injury.

Is the carafe included?

Yes, a carafe is provided with the appliance. Place it empty under the filter funnel before each brew. The carafe is made of glass or plastic depending on the model.

Operation

1. Before use, carefully check if the appliance is without damage. Contact your supplier if you find damage or problem, and don't use the appliance.
2. Remove all packaging and protective material.
3. Place the appliance on a stable and level platform.
4. Make sure the power cord has been connected.
5. Make sure the water hose has been connected.
6. Place the paper filter into the funnel.
7. Make sure the empty coffee decanter is prepared and placed underneath the filter funnel.
8. Add 90-105 grams of coffee powder into the paper filter and slide the funnel into position.
9. Switch the power ON, and wait for the "ready" indicator to light up.
10. When the "ready" indicator lights up, flip down the brewing button to start the brewing process.
11. Flip up the brewing button to stop/cancel the brewing process if necessary.
12. You can also choose to brew 6 cups / 12 cups by switching the button. * If the "ready" indicator light is off, it means the water tank is heating the water to reach the brewing temperature; the brewing button will not operate until the "ready" indicator light is ON. * If the "ready" indicator light does not turn on for a long time, the appliance will beep a warning sound. Please check the water source connection, make sure the water pipe is connected and the tap is turned on.

Cleaning

1. Before cleaning, always remember to switch off, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
2. You can clean the parts of the appliance, including the filter funnel, decanter, and water tubes with mild detergent and by using a soft cloth.
3. Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or chlorinated cleaners on the appliance.
4. Dry the appliance before connecting it to a power socket.

Descaling

When the appliance has been used for a certain period of time, water scale will build up and accumulate on the heating element and in the water flow. You should clean up the water scale regularly to ensure the appliance can be operated at the optimum condition as well as to keep the taste and flavor of the coffee.

Steps of descaling:

1. Open the top cover and pour descaling material into the water reservoir only.
2. Use descaling agent, lemon juice, or cleaning vinegar for descaling.
3. If you use lemon juice or cleaning vinegar, please mix 1/3 of lemon juice or cleaning vinegar with 2/3 of water.
4. Put the filter funnel on the holder of the appliance.
5. Put an empty decanter under the filter funnel.
6. Pour the de-scaling agent or lemon juice solution or cleaning vinegar solution into the water reservoir.
7. Switch ON the appliance.
8. When the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution starts to pass through the appliance, switch the appliance OFF.
9. Leave the appliance for about 5 minutes to let the de-scaling agent, lemon juice solution, or the cleaning vinegar solution dissolve the water scale in the appliance.
10. Switch ON the appliance again to release out the descaling agent, lemon juice solution, or cleaning vinegar solution.
11. After all the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or cleaning vinegar solution has been released out, switch OFF the appliance again.
12. Put clean water into the water reservoir and repeat the brewing procedures until there is no more odour and taste in the water.

Regular maintenance

1. To ensure the appliance can always be operating in the best state, clean the appliance and do descaling regularly.
2. How frequently to do maintenance depends on how heavily you use the appliance.
