Which vehicles are compatible with the Vevor FTJM02-06 catalytic converter?

The FTJM02-06 model is compatible with Nissan Pathfinder 4.0L (2005-2010), Frontier/Xterra 4.0L (2005-2014), Suzuki Equator 4.0L (2009-2012) and Nissan NV2500/NV3500 4.0L (2012-2016) and NV1500 4.0L. Check the exhaust pipe diameter to confirm fitment.

Why is there white smoke after installation?

White smoke is normal: it comes from the rust preventive oil applied to the converter surface. When the engine heats up, the oil evaporates and disappears after about 30 minutes of use.

Why is there a burning smell after installation?

The burning smell is due to the combustion of the fireproof cotton and clear adhesive tape surrounding the ceramic substrate. This smell disappears after about 50 km of driving. It is a normal phenomenon.

Can I use this catalytic converter in California?

No, this converter is not CARB compliant (California Air Resources Board). It is illegal to use it on a vehicle registered in California. It is compliant with federal OBD III standards for other states.

Is the installation complicated?

The installation is designed to be direct with standard flanges and bolts. However, it is strongly recommended to call a professional to ensure correct mounting and avoid exhaust leaks.

Does this kit contain everything needed for installation?

Yes, the kit includes 4 converters (front left/right, rear left/right), 4 gaskets, 4 washers and necessary nuts. You don't need any additional tools, but professional installation is recommended.

What is the difference between this converter and the original (OEM) one?

WARNING:

After receiving our product, you need to find a repair shop to put the car shelf, then remove the old catalytic converter, install the new catalytic convert its original position, and install the gasket and washer, tighten the screws! You now drive and use it normally!

After installing the catalyst, the following two situations will occur, both of which normal phenomena!

Firstly, the surface of the catalytic converter is coated with rust proof oil. After car starts and the catalytic converter is at high temperature, the rust proof of the surface will evaporate due to heat, and white smoke will emerge. After a 30 minutes of use, it will disappear on its own. This is a normal phenomenon please do not worry!

Secondly, after the installation of the new catalyst, when the car starts to us burnt odor will be emitted from the exhaust gas. This is because the cerami carrier part of the catalyst's internal structure is wrapped in a fireproof cotton with transparent tape, also known as an insulation cotton pad. It wraps arour ceramic carrier, and the transparent gelatin belt will burn when exposed to hi temperatures. At this time, the exhaust pipe will discharge this odor, so you smell a burnt odor! It will disappear on its own after using about 50 kilometer is a normal phenomenon! Don't worry!

Friendly Note: This part cannot be used for California-registered vehicles. (Due to the increased emissions standards, this converter is NOT legal f use in CA.)
