WARNING:

• Read and understand this entire manual before assembling, installing, operating, or servicing this product. Failure to follow these warnings and instructions can cause death, personal injury, or damage valuable property
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements when using this product. Use ropes and tie-downs to securely hold all cargo in place
• Do not overload the Roof Rack. Never exceed the maximum weight capacity of 150 lbs.
• Before and after each use, check to make sure that all hardware is tightly secured. Regularly inspect for damage. If fraying or distortion is found, immediately discontinue use.
• Make sure the vehicle's engine is OFF, with the parking brake set, before loading or unloading the Kayak Roof Rack.
• Do not use to hold or restrain human or animal weight in any manner.
• Use common sense when working. Stay alert and concentrate when setting up and using the Kayak Roof Rack. Never work while under the influence alcohol, drugs, or medications.
• While assembling and using the Kayak Roof Rack, keep the work area clean and well-lighted. Keep spectators and children out of the work area.
• CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.

STEP 4

With another person's help, load the kayak onto the car rooftop and the kayak between the two J-cradles. Make sure the cockpit is facing toward you. See figure 3.

STEP 5

Route the free end of the strap(12#) around the top of the longer a the J-cradle. Pull and route both the buckle end and free end of the (12#) over the kayak. Pull down the free end of the strap (12#) until buckle end is positioned halfway up the side of the kayak. Thread the end of the strap (12#) down and under the crossbar. See figure 4. Press the buckle and insert the free end through the buckle. Pull do free end to take up the excessive strap to avoid the excessive strap flapping in the wind. Repeat step 2 and step 3 for the other J-cradle
