How to charge the SilverCrest SHV 3.7 A1 fan?

Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the charging port at the back of the fan, then to a USB power adapter (5 V, 1 A) not included. The red indicator shows charging; it turns off when the battery is full. You cannot use the fan while charging.

Can I use the fan while it is charging?

No, the fan is designed to operate only on battery. When plugged in for charging, it is off and cannot be used.

How to clean the fan?

Turn off the fan and unplug the cable. Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth. For grilles, use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, then a damp cloth with mild detergent. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How to adjust the fan angle?

The tilt angle is adjusted manually by pointing the fan head up or down. It can pivot up to 180 degrees.

What is the battery life?

Battery life depends on the selected speed. The manual does not give an exact duration, but it varies from a few hours at maximum speed to several hours at minimum speed.

Can I replace the battery myself?

No, the battery is built-in and not user-replaceable. For any issue, contact after-sales service.

How to know if the fan is fully charged?

The indicator light is red during charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the light turns off. When running on battery, the light is blue.

What to do if the fan does not turn on?

Check if the battery is charged: connect the USB-C cable, if the red light comes on, let it charge. If the light does not come on, try another cable or power adapter. If nothing works, contact after-sales service.

The fan makes noise, is that normal?

Yes, a slight noise is normal. The maximum noise level is less than 48 dB(A), comparable to a quiet conversation. If the noise becomes excessive, check that nothing is blocking the blades.

Where can I find the serial number for warranty?

The IAN number (446364_2307) is on the rating plate, on the title page of the manual (bottom left), or on a sticker on the back or underside of the product. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase.

⚠️ DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION!

Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.

Never throw batteries or rechargeable batteries into fire or water.

Do not exert mechanical loads on batteries or rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures that could affect batteries or rechargeable batteries, such as radiators or direct sunlight.

If batteries or rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush the affected areas immediately with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!

Leaked or damaged batteries or rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

This product has a built-in rechargeable battery that cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer, their customer service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, note that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Charging the battery

Before first use: Fully charge the battery. ☐ Only use a class II USB power adapter (not included) that is approved for use with household products and has an output of 5 V, 1A.

⚠️ ATTENTION! Risk of property damage! Do not connect the product to a PC or notebook to charge the battery.

1. Connect the USB-C plug of the charging cable 8 to the USB-C charging socket 10.
2. Connect the USB-A plug of the charging cable 8 to the USB-A socket of your USB power adaptor.
3. The power indicator 5 lights up during the charging process (see "Power indicator").
4. When the battery is fully charged, the power indicator 5 goes off.
5. Disconnect the charging cable 8 from the product and the USB power adaptor.

NOTE: You cannot operate the product during the charging process.

- Tilt adjustment

Adjust the tilt angle 3 by hand (max. 180°) (fig. A).

- Attaching a wrist strap

Optional: Attach a wrist strap (not included) to the hole 9.

- Setting up the product

1. Place the removable base 7 on a horizontal, even surface.
2. Insert the handle 6 into the opening on the removable base 7.

● Cleaning and care

Do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

Before cleaning: Turn the product off. Disconnect the charging cable 8 from the product.

NOTE: The grilles 1 11 act as safety guards to protect the user from touching the blade 2.

After cleaning: Let all parts dry.

Storage

NOTE: The built-in battery can discharge itself even if the product is not in use. If you do not plan to use the product for a long time, fully charge the built-in battery before storage to prolong the battery's operating life. Regularly charge the built-in battery during non-use (we recommend an interval of 3 months) to preserve its characteristics.

When not in use, store the product in its original packaging. Store the product in a dry, secure location away from children.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibreboard/80-98: composite materials.

To protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.

For this product, rechargeable battery is also covered by its warranty period.
