Intended use
The product is only for private use outdoors and is not for commercial use. The product acts as a deterrent to animals through the use of high-frequency sounds and/or flashing light.
Safety instructions
Important: Read these instructions for use carefully and be sure to keep them handy!

Danger to life!
- Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

Risk of injury!
- This product can be used by children above the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or by those lacking experience and knowledge provided they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the product and
understand the risks involved. Children may not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children without supervision.
The product is not a toy.
- Check the product for damage and wear before each use. The product may be used only when in good working order and condition!
- Do not make any modifications to the product!
- When removing the housing make sure also to remove the ground spike. This may constitute a hazard (e.g., to be tripped over).
- Warning. The product produces flashes that may trigger epilepsy in sensitised individuals.
- Warning. Do not use close to the ear! Misuse may cause damage to hearing.
- The light source for this lighting fixture is not replaceable; when the light source has reached the end of its service life, the entire lighting fixture must be replaced.

Avoiding material damage!
- Make sure that the solar cell does not become soiled or covered by snow and ice in winter. Otherwise the efficiency of the solar cell is reduced.
- Take into account that cold temperatures can have a negative influence on the service life of the rechargeable battery.

Warnings regarding integrated rechargeable battery!
- The rechargeable battery is not replaceable.
- Charge only an intact and undamaged rechargeable battery.

To charge the rechargeable battery use only the USB charging cable supplied.

Protect the rechargeable battery from mechanical damage. Fire hazard!
- Since the rechargeable battery gets hot during charging, ensure adequate ventilation. Never leave the product covered!
- Should electrolyte solution leak from the rechargeable battery and the product, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. Rinse off affected areas with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately. The electrolyte solution may cause irritations.
- Disconnect the product from the charging cable when it is fully charged.
- Never charge and store the product near major sources of heat or near open flame as this could lead to explosion of the rechargeable battery.
- If the rechargeable battery catches fire during charging, do not use water to extinguish it, but use for example dry sand.
- Do not leave the product unattended during charging and be sure to guard against any possible overheating.
- Charge the rechargeable battery only at an ambient temperature of between 5 and 35^ .
- The charging contacts on the device may not come into contact with metallic objects.
- If the product has received a heavy blow, store it for the next 30 minutes in a very safe location (e.g. in a metal box).
- Never try to manipulate, modify or repair a rechargeable battery or the product.
- When the rechargeable battery has reached the end of its life, the product must be disposed of. Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery.

Danger!
- The rechargeable battery may not be thrown onto a fire or short-circuited. The rechargeable battery can overheat and explode.
- The rechargeable battery may not be disassembled.
Set-up (fig. B)
- Stake the product (1) in the ground with the ground spike (2-4) at the desired location.
Note: To prevent damage caused by flooding, never place the product directly on the ground.
Note: In order not to damage the product do not apply force (e.g., by hammering) when setting up.
2. Align the product with the built-in motion sensor (1a) towards the area that is to be monitored. Make sure that the area is unimpeded by any obstacles.
Use (fig. C)
Adjusting the motion sensor
Adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor with the control unit (1b). If a movement is detected, the product produces sound or a flashing light for about 30 seconds.
Note: The maximum range of detection is reached at about 8m at the "MAX" position.
Adjusting the sound frequency
Set the desired programme with the control unit (1c).
Note: When the respective selection is made you will hear a single beep.
Note: Sound frequencies from 0.016kHz up to max. 20kHz are generally perceptible to human beings; some of the product's programmes transmit sound frequencies in this range. In this case position the product out of hearing distance.
Note: The product does not affect electronic devices such as cardiac pacemakers, garage door openers, remote controls, etc.

Charging the rechargeable battery (fig. D)
The rechargeable battery is already charged upon delivery.
Note: The status of the rechargeable battery is indicated on the charge level indicator (1d) by a red LED when you switch on.

Charging with the solar panel
- Position the product so that the solar panel (1e) is exposed to direct sunlight to guarantee optimal charging of the rechargeable battery.
- The solar panel must be exposed to direct sunlight for at least 8 hours to charge the rechargeable battery fully.
Note: The charging process runs no matter which programme is selected.
Charging with the USB cable
When there is not much sunlight it is advisable to charge the product via the USB cable (5) supplied to charge at full capacity.
Note: Charging must be done indoors since with the USB port (1f) open the product's splash protection is not guaranteed.
- When charging, switch the sound frequency control unit (1c) to the "0" programme to prevent any malfunction.
- Connect the end (5a) of the USB cable (5) with the product's USB port.
- Connect the other end (5b) of the USB cable to a USB port of a switched-on laptop/ notebook or of a charging station with a USB port.
Note: The charge time for the rechargeable battery is about 5-10 hours depending on its current charge status.
- Remove the USB cable from the product when the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
Storage, cleaning
When not in use, always store the product switched off, clean and dry at room temperature.
Only clean with a damp cloth and wipe dry afterwards.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal

The accompanying symbol indicates that this device complies with Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive indicates that you may not dispose of this device
along with basic household waste at the end of its useful life and instead must hand it in to specifically designated collection sites, valuable substance collection stations, or waste disposal facilities.
Look after the environment and dispose of waste properly.
Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection site.

For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council. Dispose of the product and the packaging in an mentally friendly manner. Store the aging materials (foil bags, for example) the reach of children.

Note the label on the packaging materials when separating waste, as these are labelled with abbreviations numbers (b) with the following g:1-7:plastics/20-22:paper and ard/80-98:composite materials.
The product and the packaging materials can be recycled, dispose of them separately for better treatment of waste.
Notes on the guarantee and service handling
The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts that are subject to normal wear and tear and that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) and it does not cover fragile parts such as switches or parts that are made of glass.
Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.
Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
If you wish to make a claim please first contact the service hotline mentioned below or contact us by e-mail. If there is a guarantee case, then the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge to you or the purchase price will be refunded, depending on our choice. There are no further rights from the guarantee.
Your legal rights, in particular guarantee claims against the respective seller, are not limited by this guarantee.

Troubleshooting
