How to connect the Intellinet 562096 switch?

Plug the supplied power adapter into the switch and a power outlet. Use RJ45 cables to connect your devices (PC, router, etc.) to the switch ports. The PWR LED should light up.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The PWR LED indicates that the device is powered on. The Link/ACT LED is lit when a connection is established and flashes during network activity. The SFP+ LED lights up when an SFP+ module is connected and active.

Can I use crossover or straight-through cables?

Yes, all RJ45 ports support Auto-MDI/MDI-X, allowing the use of both straight-through and crossover cables.

What is the maximum distance between the switch and another device?

The recommended maximum distance between the switch and the connected network device is 100 meters.

How to install the rubber feet?

Attach the rubber feet to each of the four corners of the switch to improve stability and prevent slipping.

All RJ45 ports on the switch support Auto-MDI/MDI-X functionality, so you can use straight or crossover UTP/STP cables to connect the RJ45 ports to PCs, routers, hubs, other switches, etc.

Power

Use the included power cord and adapter to connect the device to an AC outlet. Confirm that the Power LED on the front panel is lit.

Installation

Prior to use, it is recommended that the switch be placed/positioned:

• on a level surface
that can support the weight of the switch;
- with at least 25 mm (approx. 1") of clearance for ventilation;
- away from sources of electrical noise: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, etc.;
- within 100 m (approx. 328') of network devices it's to be connected to.

Attach the rubber feet to the bottom of each corner of the switch to increase stability.
