2. Safety instructions for the user

General precautions during the use of electrical equipment
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors. • Always place the appliance on a flat and even surface.
- This product is intended for indoor, non-industrial, non-commercial and only for household use.
- Do not use the item outdoors or for any other purpose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
- The unit must be used only for the intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages arising from improper use or wrong handling.
- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
- Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
- Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.
- The device is not completely disconnected from the power source, even after it has been turned off. To disconnect it completely, disconnect it from the mains plug.
- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as

Restrictions on use to avoid personal injury
- Do not let the appliance operate unattended.
- Do not place or operate this appliance near water sources.
- Do not place or operate the appliance and its power cord on or near hot surfaces (e.g., stove plates) or open flames.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging from sharp edges and keep away from hot objects and flames. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
- The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- When removing the plug from the wall outlet, grasp the plug itself, not the cord or the appliance.
- To avoid electric shock, ensure your hands are dry before plugging or unplugging.
- Do not use the device with wet hands, on damp floors, or in humid conditions; there is a risk of electric shock.
- While using the appliance, ensure the power cord is not caught or crushed.
- Be careful when handling electrical appliances, as the surface of the heating element retains residual heat after use. Misuse may cause potential injury to the user and may
- damage the appliance.
- Do not touch the outer surface of the appliance as it can become very hot during operation. Instead, use the handle or mitts.
- Never immerse the appliance or plug in water or any other liquid. If the appliance
- falls into water, disconnect it from the mains immediately and take it to an authorized service agent for repair before reusing.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage, or if it has a leak.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazard.
- In case of appliance malfunction or if it has been damaged in any manner, return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

Restrictions on use when used with children and elders
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children shall not play with the appliance.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

Instructions to follow when using the appliance
- Your supply socket must be properly earthed.
- Clean the water container before the first usage.
- During use, the product must be located in a position, which is not easily reached by children, and the cover should be securely closed to avoid spillage of boiling water.
- This product should only be used to boil water. Please do not boil other liquids such as milk and coffee.
- Fill with water according to the pre-set water level with minimum level at "MIN" and maximum level at "MAX".
- Switch off and unplug from the outlet before filling, emptying or cleaning, or when not in use.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
- Do not operate or place any part of this appliance on or near hot surfaces (such as gas or electric burner or in a heated oven).
- Avoid touching the surface of the hot kettle, use the handle and knobs.
- To avoid possible steam damage, do not face the spout when operating the kettle.
- If operated on wood furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.
- To avoid scalding, always ensure the lid is correctly positioned before operation.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed while heating.
- Carefully open the lid when it is hot.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving the kettle containing hot water. Never lift the kettle by its lid. Always use the body handle.
- Do not switch your kettle on if it is empty.
- To protect from electrical hazard, do not immerse this kettle, power base or cord set in any liquid.
- To protect against fire, do not operate it in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
- Avoid spillage on the connector.
- To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high-wattage product on the same electrical circuit.
- A short power supply cord is provided with this product. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product, but if one must be used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great as that of the product.
- Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

- This product display is a combination of touch buttons and LED lights.
- Every time a button is pressed, there is a prompt sound, and two prompts when a function is completed.
- You can press the "+" and "-" buttons to change the menu function displayed on the digital panel. There are 8 menu functions. 7 menu functions can be selected with the help of these buttons, and the Keep Warm function is the default function for all menu functions. Note: In the Keep Warm function, the only button that can be used is the Start/Stop button. 4. While boiling water, the digital display shows the temperature change by 1°C or 1°F.
- Once the water boils and reaches the boiling temperature, the unit emits a prompt sound and automatically enters the Keep Warm function.
- Start/Stop button: The Start and Stop button can be used to start and stop any menu function.
- Temperature calibration: While heating to a certain temperature, the menu function stops heating for 0–60 seconds to calibrate the temperature and provide accurate temperature information.
- Change in Temperature unit: To change the temperature unit from °C to °F or vice versa, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling water and discarding it twice with the maximum quantity. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
⚠NOTE: The maximum capacity of the kettle is 1.7L.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection function will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling it with cold water and re-boiling.
USING YOUR ELECTRIC KETTLE
- Place the kettle on a flat surface.
- To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and remove the lid handle to open the lid, then fill the kettle with the desired amount of water and close the lid. The water level must be within the Min and Max levels. Too little water will cause the kettle to switch off before the water has boiled. NOTE: Do not fill the water above the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before plugging into the power outlet.
- Position the kettle on the power base.
- Once the water reaches boiling temperature, lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
NOTE: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may result in scalds. Also, do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
- The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.
NOTE: Always disconnect the power supply when not in use.
- To operate the kettle, select the menu function by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons, other than the keep warm function.
- To start the heating process, press the start button and the kettle will start heating according to the temperatures of the selected functions.
- During the process of boiling water and heating, press the + and - buttons to switch between different tea functions. The buzzer will emit a prompt sound for 3 seconds after pressing the buttons and the tea function changes.
- Keep warm: After the water temperature of the tea reaches the final temperature, the unit automatically enters the keep warm function mode as the default function, and the duration of keep warm will last 60 minutes. To cancel the keep warm function, press the Start/Stop button and the kettle enters normal working mode.
- Memory function: This kettle has a memory function under uninterrupted power supply.
- Standby mode: In standby state, all the lights and digital display turn off. Also, in the following conditions, the unit enters standby mode automatically.
1) After 60 minutes of keep warm mode, the kettle enters standby state automatically. 2) If there is no operation for 60 seconds, the kettle enters standby state. 3) When in standby mode, press any button to bring the kettle into active state.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool it down completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to contact these parts.
- Wipe the exterior of the body with a damp cloth or cleaner, never use a poisonous cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent the loss of gloss.
- When not in use or for storage, the power cord may be wound under the power base.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
Your kettle should be periodically descaled as the mineral deposits in tap water may form scale on the bottom of the kettle, causing less efficient operation. You can use a commercially available descaler and follow the instructions on the package. Alternatively, you may follow the instructions below using white vinegar.
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to cover the bottom of the kettle completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
- Then discard the mixture in the kettle, then fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat several times until the odor of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
Cleaning the filter
Remember to clean the filter with a soft, damp cloth at intervals.
Storage
When not in use or for storage, the power cord may be wound around the cord storage under the base of the kettle. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
