Keep these documents, including the warranty certificate, receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging in a safe place. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents.

Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

Safety Information
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents.
- The appliance is intended for private use only and not for commercial use.
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose.
- Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture (never immerse it in liquids) and sharp edges.
- Do not apply pressure to the appliance or drop it. This could damage the sensitive electronics.
- The kitchen scale is designed for a maximum weight of up to 5 kg (11.0 lb).
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil. There is a danger of suffocation!
Handling Batteries

Observe polarity (+ / -)!

Keep away from children!

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged!

Do not disassemble batteries!

Do not short-circuit batteries!

Danger of explosion!
Do not expose batteries to intense heat, such as sunshine, fire or similar.
- Batteries can leak battery acid. If the appliance will not be used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries.
- If a battery leaks, do not rub the liquid into the eyes or mucous membranes. In case of contact, wash hands, rinse eyes with clean water. Seek medical attention if any discomfort persists.
- Different battery types and new and used batteries must not be used together.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance and safely disposed of. Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Return used batteries to the responsible collection points or to the dealer.
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
Inserting the Batteries
(Batteries not included)

Open the battery compartment on the underside.

Insert 2 batteries of type AAA / R03. Please ensure that the polarity is correct (see the floor of the battery compartment)!
- Do not use rechargeable batteries / accumulators.
- Close the battery compartment again.
If Lo appears in the display, then the batteries must be replaced at once.
Notes for Use
The kitchen scale is designed to display the weight of food and ingredients.

Using the Appliance
Switching On
- Place the kitchen scale on a flat, smooth surface.
- Press the TARE button to switch on the scale. All segments are briefly shown in the display.
Select Unit of Measurement
This kitchen scale measures in both mass units (g / lb:oz) and volume units (ml / CUP).
Milk and water have different weights if they have the same number of millilitres. Therefore, you can display milk and water separately on this scale.
To select the appropriate unit of measurement, also refer to the table "Indications in the Display".
- Select the desired unit of measurement with the UNIT button.
- The appliance starts in the last unit of measurement selected.
Weighing
- Maintain until the kitchen scale is at "0".
- Place the product or a container on the centre of the scale.
- If you are using a container to measure your ingredients, touch the TARE button now.

Add the ingredients to the container.

If the displayed value remains unchanged, the measurement is complete. The symbol ▲ appears on the display. Now read off the measured value.
Tare Weight Function
You want to add another ingredient to your first ingredient and weigh it out?
- Touch the TARE button.
- The kitchen scale is reset to "☐". The following symbols appear on the display: ▲, -0 - and ◇.
- If you now add more ingredients, their weight will be displayed.
- If the displayed value remains unchanged, the measurement is complete. The symbol ▲ appears on the display. Now read off the measured value.
Switching Off
- The automatic switch-off function switches the scale off automatically after approx. 120 seconds.
- If you want to switch off the scale first, touch the TARE ⏻ button until the display goes out.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
- Do not immerse the appliance in water! This could destroy the electronics.
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Make sure that no moisture or liquid enters the appliance!
- You can use a commercially available washing-up liquid or a simple soap as an additive.
• After cleaning, dry the appliance well with a dry, soft cloth.
Storage
Store the appliance in a clean, dry place.
