Introduction

Congratulations on choosing this drawer. Read these instructions thoroughly before you first use the drawer, and keep the instructions for future use.

Installation

  • When connecting the drawer, always ensure that the connection is accessible for emergencies, even after installation.
  • Make sure the plug is connected to an earthed socket.

Building in

  1. Check the drawer after unpacking. Do not install the drawer if it is damaged; contact your supplier.
  2. Before first use, remove all packaging material from inside the drawer.
  3. Slide the drawer into the niche of the kitchen cabinet. Check that the drawer housing is positioned properly.
  4. Open the drawer and fasten it to the side walls of the cabinet using the 2 screws and spacers provided.

Before using the appliance for the first time

  • Clean the drawer with a damp cloth before first use. Do not use abrasive or strong-smelling detergents.
  • Then let the warming drawer heat at the maximum temperature for at least 2 hours.

Automatic programs

Heating plates

  • Program for heating plates and dishes.
  • Food placed on preheated plates or dishes stays hot longer.
  • This program has a set temperature of 80^ and a heating time of 1 hour.

Heating cups

  • Program for heating cups and glasses.
  • Hot drinks poured into pre-heated cups or glasses stay hot longer.
  • This program has a set temperature of 60^ and a heating time of 1 hour.

Keeping food warm

  • Program for keeping prepared food warm on a dish or plate.
  • This program has a set temperature of 60 °C and a heating time of 2 hours.

Making yoghurt

• Programme for making yoghurt.

Making yoghurt requires maintaining a temperature for a period of time. Therefore, for this program, the settings cannot be changed.

Making yoghurt is done as follows:

  • Heat 1 litre fresh whole milk to about 80^ , then let it cool to 40^ .
  • Stir 2 tablespoons of white yoghurt with yoghurt culture into the milk.
  • Pour the milk into the glasses. The glasses must be absolutely clean, preferably sterilised.
  • Place the glasses in the middle of the drawer. Do not place the glasses closer than 10 cm to the back wall of the drawer. Leave space between the glasses for air circulation.
  • Select the ‘Make yoghurt’ program. The program runs for 4 hours.
  • Then leave the yoghurt in the drawer for another 2 hours without heating.
    • After 10 hours of ripening in the fridge, the yoghurt is ready.

Defrost

  • Program for defrosting frozen food.
  • Place the frozen food in a deep dish or on a plate to catch the water released during thawing.
  • This program has a set temperature of 40^ and a heating time of 2 hours.

Using the warming drawer

  • Do not lean or sit on the open drawer. Otherwise, the slide rails may be damaged.
  • The drawer can carry a maximum weight of 30 kg.

  • Open the drawer by pressing briefly on the front panel.

  • Turn on the drawer by pressing the On/Off button.
  • Place the crockery or dish in the drawer and choose the desired program, or choose manual setting and set the temperature and desired heating time.
  • Close the drawer by pressing the front panel.

▶Heating starts after the drawer is closed.

When the set heating time is over, the heating system stops and an alarm sounds. The alarm sounds continuously for one minute and then briefly once each minute.
▶ Five minutes after the selected program ends, the drawer switches off.

To interrupt the selected program, open the drawer and press the On/Off button. You can then choose another program or change the heating time.

  • When an automatic program is interrupted, the warming drawer switches to manual operation.
  • It is not possible to make changes to the ‘Make yoghurt’ program.

Manual setting

If you do not want to use an automatic program, you can set the temperature and time manually.

  1. Press the manual setting button.
  2. Select the desired temperature by pressing the temperature button repeatedly. The temperature can be set between 40 and 80 °C in 10 °C increments.

  3. Select the desired heating time by pressing the timer button repeatedly. The time can be set between 1 and 4 hours in 1 hour increments.

The heating time depends on several factors, such as:

  • the material and thickness of the crockery
    • the quantity of crockery
    • the distribution of the crockery

Locking function

The drawer control panel can be locked to prevent unintended use of the drawer.

  • The child lock can be activated by pressing the manual setting button for +/- 5 seconds, until it lights up.
  • When the child lock is activated, the buttons can no longer be used.
  • The child lock can be deactivated by pressing the manual setting button for +/- 5 seconds again, until it no longer lights up.

Cleaning the drawer

  • Clean all surfaces with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.
  • Wipe with a clean wet cloth afterwards and dry the surfaces.

Important:

  • NEVER use abrasive cleaning agents or chemical solvents.
  • DO NOT use a pressure washer or steam cleaner to clean the drawer.
