3 Attributes
With this HDMI switch you can connect up to 5 devices to a HDMI interface. The switch detects if a connected device is turned on and switches automatically to the appropriate channel. Optionally, you can also switch manually between three channels by using the button on the top of the device.
4 Getting started
Please take the HDMI switch and infrared receiver out of the package. Then connect the connecting cable of the infrared receiver with the connection socket "IR" on the HDMI switch.
Unpack the remote control and remove the safety backing strip that sticks out of the battery compartment on the backside. Turn off all devices you want to connect and connect it with an appropriate HDMI cable with the switch.
Note: The HDMI switch receives electric power, which is required to run, directly via HDMI cable. For this purpose, there are extra lines for the power supply which are integrated by the HDMI standard.
The devices which are built for the European market, should provide a 5 volt power supply according to this specification. However, some devices are not able to provide this energy.
In this case, there is a port for a barrel connector on the HDMI switch (4.0 mm / 1.7 mm, 3.5 mm / 1.35 mm; inner conductor: Plus, outer conductor: minus / earth) in which your device with 5 V voltage can be supplied. With the help of a compatible power supply this problem can be solved.
