Thank you for purchasing a Bearware product. Please read the following operating instructions carefully so that you can enjoy your purchased appliance for a long time. Before using the delivered goods, check that they are complete, faultless and undamaged.

3. Start-up
When using the appliance for the first time, check the integrity of the product and its components as well as its function. Remove the product from the packaging and remove all packaging material.
Connect the electrical device to the meter whose energy consumption is to be recorded. Then plug the energy cost meter into a properly installed earthed socket.
The device is now ready for operation.
If the power is greater than or equal to 0.5 W, the time display starts recording, then ‘:’ flashes, the first two digits show hours and the last two digits show minutes. When the time display reaches 24 hours, the number of days is automatically increased by 1 and the hour starts at 0.
If the device is not in use, the backlight switches off after 30 seconds.
3.1 Reset device
If an unusual display appears or the buttons show no response, the device can be reset. To do this, press the RESET button.

4.1 Time display
The time display shows the duration in which electricity was consumed. The following points should be noted:
- The power consumption of the connected device must be at least 0.5 W for the time measurement to continue.
- Counting starts again after 24 hours. In this case, the „Day“ value on the COST display is increased by 1.
- The display shows „0:00“. The digits before the colon show the minutes, those after the colon show the seconds. After 60 minutes, „0:00“ is displayed again, with the digits before the colon showing the hours and those after the colon showing the minutes.
4.2 Switch through adverts
After plugging in, the entire display appears for approx. 1 second. The appliance then switches over automatically.
The display shows the power in the energy display. Press the "UP" button to switch between the modes. The data is displayed as follows:
Power → Voltage → Current → Frequency → Power factor → Power
The display shows the total costs in the third line. Press “DOWN” to display the following data:
Power consumption → Costs → CO2 emissions → Total time DAY (days) → Costs per KWh
5. energy price
- Press the „SET“ button for 3 seconds to access the setting for the electricity costs KWh. The display shows „COST/KWh“ and the set value (e.g. 25.50 KWh).

- Set the second number again using the „UP“ or „DOWN“ buttons.
- Repeat the process until you have set the desired data.
- Press and hold the „SET“ button to finish the setting; alternatively, you can wait for about 10 seconds. The device automatically returns to normal mode.
6 Overload limit
Note: The energy cost meter is designed for a maximum output of 3680 watts. Do not set the overload limit above this value and do not connect any devices whose energy consumption value exceeds 3680 watts.
If the energy consumption exceeds the overload limit, this is signalled by a flashing „OVERLOAD“ in the overload display.
7. Guarantee declaration
The manufacturer grants a 2-year guarantee on this product with regard to workmanship and materials. Warranty repairs may only be carried out by an authorised customer service centre. The original sales receipt must be enclosed as proof.
Excluded from this guarantee are: normal wear and tear, modifications, reworking, damage due to carelessness, external influences, areas of application for which the product is not designed, or completely or partially dismantled products.
8. Important instructions for use
- The device is only suitable for indoor use.
- Please do not plug in one after the other.
- Only de-energise when the plug is disconnected.
- Please only use the appliance when it is dry.
- The specified maximum electrical output must not be exceeded.
- There are no special ventilation requirements for this product. For safety reasons, you must ensure that the product is not covered or directly connected during use
- Do not connect a device whose load exceeds 16 A. Always ensure that the plug of an appliance is fully inserted into the socket of the meter. If the meter needs to be cleaned, disconnect it from the power supply and wipe it with a dry cloth.
9. Safety instructions and disclaimer
Never attempt to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not waterproof, please only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden temperature changes or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic parts. Check the device for damage before use. The appliance should not be used if it has been knocked or damaged in any other way. Please observe the national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or modification to the appliance that is not carried out by the original supplier will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The appliance may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without prior notice.

10. Disposal instructions
According to the European WEEE Directive, electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of with household waste. Their components must be recycled or disposed of separately, as toxic and hazardous components can cause lasting damage to the environment if disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer, you are obliged under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) to return electrical and electronic equipment free of charge at the end of its life to the manufacturer, the point of sale or to public collection centres set up for this purpose.
