Use
I. Set the grinding fineness you want via the dial (4) on the grinder (2):
coarse grinding fineness = turn anticlockwise fine grinding fineness = turn clockwise
Experiment and find the perfect grinding fineness for your favourite coffee (see also the "Tips for the Perfect Coffee" chapter).
2. Place the grinder on the collecting container (3).
3. Pour beans of your favourite coffee into the top of the grinder.
4. Place the lid (I) on the grinder.
5. Place the crank handle (6) on the axis (5).
6. Turn the crank handle clockwise to grind the coffee beans. You can tell when all the coffee beans have been ground by
the change in the grinding noise and the fact that the crank handle is easier to turn.
- Take the grinder off the collecting container and process the ground coffee. We have put together a few tips for you in the following chapter.
We hope you enjoy wonderful coffee moments!
Tips for the Perfect Coffee
Not all coffee is the same. The taste depends on many different factors - from the method of preparation via the utensils used to the coffee beans themselves.
The different methods of preparation all have their advantages and their fans. One person will swear by pour-over coffee, another by French press and yet others will only drink espresso – preferably from the little espresso pot for the stove. What is your preferred method for making the perfect coffee?
Type of Coffee
Even if many factors play a role in the success of making coffee, the most important ingredient is of course the coffee bean itself. The taste differs according to the type, the soil on which the coffee was grown, the growing region and the prevailing climate, and the roasting process to which the beans were subjected.
Each coffee has its very own flavour - you should not be afraid to experiment here and try out the different preparation methods with different coffee beans.
Grinding
Coffee loses its aroma quickly after grinding. To get the best out of the coffee beans, we recommend that you grind them just before brewing. With the GRIND-2-GO the grinding fineness can be infinitely set and therefore adjusted precisely. You can also easily switch between different types of coffee because the coffee grinder can be cleaned quickly and easily (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter).
The grinding fineness is one of the crucial factors for making any coffee - and a different grinding fineness is required for each type:
Type of preparation Grinding fineness
Espresso pot Fine to medium
AeroPress* Fine to medium
Pour over / manual fi I ter Medium
Coffee machine
Medium
Chemex*
Medium
French press
Medium to fairly coarse
Bayreuth pot
Coarse
If you want to be on the safe side, let a barista that you trust grind a small portion of the beans and use this as a comparison when grinding at home.
You can make splendid coffee stylishly and elegantly for example using our BEEM Pour Over Coffee Maker Set. There's a whole philosophy behind the term of pour-over coffee. It's all about taking

time to enjoy the preparation and the freshly brewed coffee to the full. The pour-over method is particularly suitable for bringing the best out of the valuable ingredients and flavour of the particular coffee bean and preserving it. Our stylish BEEM Pour Over Coffee Maker Set for up to 500 ml of coffee can be obtained from selected specialist stockists, directly via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service department on request.
Dosing
To obtain a successful result, you should keep a very close eye on the ratio of coffee powder to water. If the water content predominates, the coffee loses its taste. If in turn you use too much coffee powder, the coffee becomes too strong. We recommend that you start off with 15g of coffee per 250ml of water. Of course, tastes vary from person to person, so you need to slowly get to know your own ideal ratio.

Kitchen scales are one aid that not only make dosing easier for beginners, but are also used by experienced baristas. You can use these to weigh the quantities of coffee powder and water very precisely and so also ensure the ideal ratio between the two ingredients.
Water
Along with the coffee bean, water is the main component of your coffee or espresso. You should therefore make sure that the quality of the water you use for brewing your coffee is good. Since tap water is often too hard, we recommend that you use filtered water.
For a particularly fine flavour, you can also use still mineral water. Here too you should experiment, because not every mineral water tastes the same.
Location
The place where you prepare and enjoy your coffee does of course also have a crucial impact on the flavour. Your favourite coffee will also simply taste best in your favourite place. It is great that you can take your small and convenient GRIND-2-GO with you on your travels in a fabric bag.
By the way, our BEEM Espresso Maker is your perfect travel companion. You can use the small elegant espresso pot to make both fantastic espresso and coffee that tastes wonderful – and you can do this anywhere. All you need is a small hob or a gas stove and of course great coffee. You can then enjoy the perfect coffee in next to no time. The BEEM Espresso Maker can be obtained from selected specialist stockists, directly via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service department on request.
As you can see, in the preparation of your perfect coffee there are many variables that can influence the final result. Therefore it is important for you to enjoy the process of experimentation until you have found the perfect combination for you.
