Before Initial Use

Clean the device and accessories before you first use them to remove any possible production residues on the device. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Care” chapter.

Safety Devices

The device has a safety switch (Picture A). It can only be switched on when the milk jug (6) is placed in the base station (3). If the milk jug is removed from the base station during use, this switches off automatically. The LED ring (5) flashes in all colours (red, white, blue) and beeps. If you then want to use the device again, place the milk jug back into the base station. The LED ring goes out and the beeps fall silent. Now set the programme you want again to start the device.

In addition, the device is equipped with overheating protection. If it is operated without any contents, the device switches off after approx. 40 seconds. Five beeps are heard and the LED ring (5) goes out. The fan then continues to run for a few seconds to cool down the device. Fill the milk jug once it has cooled down, and set the programme you want again.

Setting Up and Connecting the Device

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the technical data of the device.
  • Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the device!).
  • Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space above it (at least 30 cm) on a flat, solid and heat-resistant surface that is resistant to splashing.
  • Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could cause damage to them!

I. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean work surface, following the safety notices and the notices provided at the beginning of this chapter.
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket. The LED ring (5) lights up in all colours (red, white, blue) and goes out again. In addition, a beep is heard.

Preparation and Operation

Programme Selection

The On / Off button (4) can be used to switch between the different programmes. The device has three programmes. The LED ring (5) indicates the selected programme by the colour.

To switch between the different programmes, press the On / Off button several times.

Markings in the Milk Jug

The milk jug (6) contains two different markings (PICTURE B):

  • Do not fill the milk jug if it is positioned in the base station! Remove the milk jug from the base station to fill it.
    • Never use the milk jug without milk!
  • Never use the milk jug without the lid. Hot milk could spray out during frothing and heating.

BEEM Milk Perfect - PLEASE NOTE! - 1

When the device is first used, production-related additives (e.g. grease) may cause a small amount of smoke and / or an odour to be produced. This is normal and not a device defect.

I. Take the lid (1) off the milk jug (6).
2. Depending on the programme, place the frothing spiral (8) or the stirring insert (9) on the magnetic pin on the bottom of the milk jug (Picture C) (see the “Preparation and Operation” chapter – “Programme Selection”).
3. Fill the milk jug with the appropriate amount of milk depending on the programme. Note the maximum fill levels (see the “Preparation and Operation” chapter – “Markings in the Milk Jug”).
4. Place the lid on the milk jug and press it down as far as it will go.

  1. Place the filled milk jug into the base station (3).

  2. Set the programme you want by pressing the On/Off button (4). The LED ring (5) indicates the selected programme by flashing in the corresponding colour (see the “Preparation and Operation” chapter – “Programme Selection”).

The programme then starts automatically. During the programme sequence, the LED ring lights up constantly in the colour of the set programme.

At the end of the programme you will hear five beeps and the LED ring goes out. The device switches off automatically.

The programme sequence can be aborted at any time by pressing the On / Off button.

  1. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket after use. The LED ring lights up in all colours (red, white, blue) and goes out again.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!

- Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These may damage the surface.

I. If necessary, empty the milk jug (6).
2. Wipe down the base station (3) with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little detergent to remove more intense soiling.
3. Clean the milk jug and the lid (I) with warm water and detergent or in the dishwasher.
Please Note: However, regular cleaning in the dishwasher may have a detrimental effect on fittings. We therefore recommend cleaning by hand.
IMPORTANT! The frothing spiral (8) and the stirring insert (9) must not be cleaned in the dishwasher! Only rinse them by hand. For more thorough cleaning of the frothing spiral, you can remove the ring.
4. Dry all parts well before you reassemble and / or store away the device.

Storage

Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the “Cleaning and Care” chapter) and let it dry completely.

For practical storage, the frothing spiral (8) and the stirring insert (9) can be inserted in the recesses on the bottom of the base station (3) (Picture D).

Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
