How do I know if the sanitizer is working?

When you press the button, the HoMedics indicator light flashes blue, indicating that the UV-C light is activated and the disinfection cycle is in progress.

Why is the indicator light flashing red?

A red flashing light means the portable sanitizer is not properly closed. Check that the zipper is completely closed and the pull tab is magnetically placed in the operating position.

Is this device safe for my phone?

Yes, the UV-Clean uses only UV-C light, no water or chemicals. UV-C light eliminates microbes without damaging the phone. Safety features prevent any UV-C light emission outside.

Can I disinfect other objects besides my phone?

Yes, the UV-Clean can disinfect a wide variety of items such as jewelry, keys, remote controls, tweezers, makeup brushes, and pacifiers. Just make sure they fit inside the device.

Is it possible to perform multiple consecutive disinfection cycles?

Yes, you can perform multiple cycles in a row. Although a single cycle is enough to disinfect, additional cycles will not damage the device or the items inside.

How do I recharge the portable sanitizer?

Use the provided micro USB cable. Plug the small end into the device's charging port and the USB end into a computer or wall charger. The indicator light flashes green while charging and becomes solid green when fully charged (2 to 3 hours).

What should I do if the device does not turn on?

First check that the battery is charged. Make sure the zipper is completely closed and the pull tab is in the operating position. If the charging cable is plugged in, unplug it before use. If the indicator light flashes red and blue, the UV-C LEDs may be damaged and the device should no longer be used.

Is UV-C light safe for skin and eyes?

The device is designed to contain UV-C radiation. Never look directly at the UV LEDs while the device is operating. The safety lock prevents accidental exposure because UV only activates when the zipper is completely closed.

How to clean the portable sanitizer?

What does the warranty cover?

CHARGING YOUR PORTABLE SANITIZER

Charging takes 2-3 hours for a full charge.

• To charge your portable sanitizer, use the included charging cable. Plug the small end (micro USB) into the portable sanitizer charging port. Plug the USB end into a computer or USB wall charger.
  • The HoMedics icon of the portable sanitizer will flash green when charging.
• When the portable sanitizer is fully charged, the HoMedics LED will turn solid green.

HOW TO USE

1. Unzip the portable sanitizer (Fig. 1).
2. Place your phone in the center of the portable sanitizer using the phone clips (Fig. 2) or place other items in the center of the portable sanitizer using the platform clip (Fig. 3).
3. For larger items, place directly on the clip holder.
4. Zip the portable sanitizer completely closed (Fig. 4).
5. Make sure the zipper pull is positioned magnetically in the on position (Fig. 5).
6. Squeeze the HoMedics button to turn on the sanitizing cycle (Fig. 6). The HoMedics LED indicator will flash blue, indicating sanitizing is in progress (Fig. 6).
7. When the blue light turns off, the sanitizing cycle is complete. Unzip and remove device.

NOTE: The portable sanitizer will only work if it is completely closed and the zipper pull is situated magnetically in the on position (Fig. 5).

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE PORTABLE SANITIZER IS WORKING?

The HoMedics LED will flash blue indicating the UV-C LEDs are on and sanitizing.

CAN IT CLEAN ANYTHING ELSE?

CAN I RUN MULTIPLE CONSECUTIVE SANITIZING CYCLES?

Yes, you can! Though the first cycle will have sanitized your device, there is no harm to your device to run another cycle if you wish.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including but not limited to Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer, or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein.
