Place the appliance on a flat surface. Fill the water tank with cold water up to 1.25 L max. Insert the empty filter basket without coffee. Place the pot on the hot plate. Plug in, press the on/off button. Set the dial to a position other than 'stop'. Let the water run, then turn off. Wash the pot and basket with soapy water. The machine is ready.
What type of filter to use for the JR-001 model?

How to adjust the flow control on the Bravilor Bonamat JR-001?
The flow control dial allows you to choose between normal or slow flow. For 6 cups or less, set to the small cup symbol; for more than 6 cups, set to the large cup symbol. Set to 'stop' to interrupt brewing (anti-drip function).
What to do if the machine does not start and the button is flashing?
Check that the water tank is filled and properly seated. Ensure the dial is not set to 'stop' (anti-drip). Check that the filter basket lid is properly closed. If the flashing is rapid, the lid was opened during brewing: close it and restart.
How to clean the spray head and the filter basket lid?

The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. As soon as brewing becomes longer, the machine noisier or produces more steam, it is time to descale. Use a descaling agent suitable for residential coffee makers and follow the procedure described in the manual.
Is the glass pot compatible with a microwave oven?
No, never place the coffee pot in a microwave oven. It could break. Use it only on the coffee maker's hot plate.
What are the important safety precautions for the Bravilor Bonamat JR-001?
Do not immerse the appliance. Do not touch hot surfaces (hot plate, pot). Unplug before cleaning. Do not use if the cord or plug is damaged. Keep out of reach of children under 8 years. Only use cold potable water.
How long does the machine keep coffee warm after brewing?
After the brewing cycle ends, the hot plate keeps the coffee warm for about 40 minutes, then the machine automatically turns off.
