How to install the V-TAC Smart Home app?

Download the V-TAC Smart Home app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Create an account or log in, then follow the pairing steps.

How to pair the VT-5007 plug with the app?

Make sure the plug is powered on. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the indicator blinks (pairing mode). In the app, tap '+' then 'Quick Pairing'. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

What to do if quick pairing fails?

Try the Compatible Pairing Mode: in the app, instead of 'Quick Pairing', click on the 'Compatible Pairing Mode' link and follow the instructions.

How to control the plug with Amazon Alexa?

Install the Amazon Alexa app, enable the V-TAC Smart Home skill in 'Skills & Games', log in with your V-TAC account, then say 'Alexa, discover devices'. You can then use commands like 'Alexa, turn on the plug'.

How to control the plug with Google Assistant?

In the Google Home app, tap '+' then 'Set up device'. Search for 'VTAC Smart Home' and link your account. Follow the steps to add the device to your home. Use commands like 'OK Google, turn on the plug'.

Can you schedule times for the plug?

Yes, in the V-TAC Smart Home app, select the device then the Schedule or Timer option. You can set time ranges with daily or weekly repetition.

How to share access to the plug with another user?

In the app, open the device and tap Share. Enter the recipient's email address. They will need a V-TAC Smart Home account to accept the share.

Does the plug work without internet?

No, the plug requires an active Wi-Fi connection and internet access for remote control. In case of internet outage, local schedules may not work.

What are the safety precautions during installation?

Always turn off the power supply before installation. Installation should be done by a professional electrician. Make sure the wire gauge complies with local standards to prevent fire hazard.

How to reset the VT-5007 plug to factory settings?

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

STEP ①: AFTER TAKING OUT THE NEW LAMP HOLDER, FIRST CHECK WHETHER THE PARTS OF THE LAMP HOLDER ARE INTACT, AND INSTALL IT IF THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS.
STEP ②: BEFORE INSTALLATION, YOU NEED TO TURN OFF THE ELECTRIC POWER, THEN CLEAN THE OLD LAMP HOLDER AND TIGHTEN THE NEW LAMP HOLDER CLOCKWISE. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE WHEN TIGHTENING TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SCREW.
STEP ③: AFTER SCREWING, CHECK WHETHER THE MIDDLE PIECE OF METAL IS CONNECTED TO THE LIVE WIRE. AFTER THE CONNECTION IS COMPLETE, THE LIGHT BULB CAN BE INSTALLED, AND IT CAN BE USED AFTER BEING POWERED ON.
NOTE ①: WHEN INSTALLING THE LAMP HOLDER, YOU MUST FIRST CONFIRM WHETHER THE LAMP HOLDER WE INSTALLED MEETS THE VOLTAGE STANDARD, WHETHER THE MAXIMUM POWER IS NOT EXCEEDED, WHETHER THERE IS ANY DAMAGE, ETC.
NOTE ②: THE MINIMUM CROSS-SECTION OF THE WIRE OF THE LAMP HOLDER SHOULD MEET THE MINIMUM CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA SPECIFIED BY THE COUNTRY, BECAUSE IF THE MINIMUM CROSS-SECTION OF THE WIRE OF THE LAMP HOLDER IS LOWER THAN THE MINIMUM CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA SPECIFIED BY THE COUNTRY, IT IS EASY TO CAUSE THE WIRE TO BURN OUT AND BURN THE LAMP HOLDER AND EVEN A FIRE ACCIDENT. THEREFORE, WHEN WE WIRE THE LAMP HOLDER, WE MUST CHOOSE A WIRE LARGER THAN THE MINIMUM CROSS-SECTION OF THE NATIONAL STANDARD TO ENSURE THE NORMAL OPERATION OF THE LAMP HOLDER IN THE FUTURE.

Step 3: Make sure your Smart device is powered ON

1) Tap and hold on the power button for 5 seconds to make the device available in pairing mode. Once in pairing mode the LED will start blinking 3 times repeatedly.
2) Tap on Next to start the pairing of device with the app. (Shown in the image)

Note: If you are facing any trouble while pairing in Quick Pairing mode please try to pair the device in Compatible Pairing Mode (Click on the link as shown on the image).

Step 4: Select your Wifi name and enter the password and tap on Next.
Step 5: Give a name to your device (Ex: Smart Plug/ smart switch) & tap on complete.

Step 6: Your device is now paired and will appear (Ex: as shown in the below image).

a) To turn the device ON/OFF tap on the ON/OFF icon(as shown in the below image).
b) To enter more settings of the Smart device tap on the Name(Ex: Smart Plug as shown below)

Step 7: V-TAC SMART HOME offers multiple features such as;

a) Share - This function allows you to share the access with another user.

b) Schedule: Schedule timer allows you to turn the device ON/OFF with flexibility of choosing date and time. This feature also allows Repeat mode using which you can set the desired configuration to daily OR any day of the week.

c) Timer : Timer function allows you to set "day-hour-minute" using which you can schedule the device to Turn ON/OFF

Step 1: Install the Amazon Alexa app via the App Store (iOS) or the Play Store (Android) and register. If you already have an existing account with Amazon Alexa, please proceed to logging in.

Note: Discovering the device must be done every time the device's name is changed on the app.

Now, you can control your smart device using voice commands on Alexa. Below are few example commands on how to use Alexa device:
