Frequently Asked Questions - AVerVision M5 AVer

How to connect the AVerVision M5 camera to a computer?

Use the supplied USB 2.0 cable. Plug it into your computer's USB port and the camera. Power and data are transmitted through this cable. Download the AVerTouch software from avereurope.com to control the camera.

How to capture a still image with the M5?

Press the capture button (top button) for 1 second. The image is saved via the AVerTouch software. Ensure the software is open and connected.

How to record a video with the AVerVision M5?

Press the capture button for 3 seconds to start recording via AVerTouch. Press again for 3 seconds to stop. The status LED blinks during recording.

How to adjust the LED lamp brightness?

Press the LED lamp button (bottom button) for 1 second to cycle through levels: 1st press: level 1 on, 2nd: level 2, 3rd: level 3, 4th: off. The lamp offers 3 levels of intensity.

How to focus the AVerVision M5?

Press the focus button (center button) for 1 second to activate autofocus. You can also adjust focus manually via the AVerTouch software.

What are the available resolutions and frame rates?

The maximum resolution is 3264x2448 pixels (8 MP). At 1920x1080, the frame rate can reach 60 fps, and at full resolution, 15 fps. Other resolutions are available in the software.

What accessories are available for the AVerVision M5?

Optional accessories include a carrying case and an anti-glare film for the lens. These are not included in the standard package.

How to properly deploy the camera?

Hold the camera by the base and gently deploy the mechanical arm. Never grasp the camera head to unfold the device. Do not force the arm beyond 91.5°. The working height is 350 mm.

Where to download AVerTouch software and resources?

Go to avereurope.com/download-center. You will find AVerTouch software, FAQ, and video tutorials. The software is required to use all camera functions.

What to do if the camera is not recognized by the computer?

Check that the USB cable is properly connected and that the computer has a USB 2.0 port. Try a different port or cable. Make sure the AVerTouch software is installed. The status LED should be steady green. If the problem persists, consult the online FAQ.

[THWS]	■ Press for 1 second to capture a still image via AVerTouch.■ Press and hold 3 seconds to start recording via AVerTouch. To stop recording, press and hold 3 seconds again via AVerTouch.
[c8kz]	■ Press for 1 second to automatically adjust the focus.
[kH5Y]	■ Press for 1 second to adjust the LED lamp brightness.1st press: lamp on (level 1). 2nd press: lamp on (level 2).3rd press: lamp on (level 3). 4th press: lamp off.■ Press and hold 3 seconds to rotate 180^ .
	Press together for 1 second to freeze via AVerTouch.

[CAUTION] To avoid damage the camera head, hold the edge of the camera head to rotate the camera head.

[CAUTION] To avoid damage the camera unit, DO NOT pull the arm angle over 91.5°.

When camera position is 350mm (13.78") high, the shooting area will be A3 size.

[CAUTION] To avoid damage the camera head, DO NOT grab the camera head to unfold the camera.
