3. Commissioning

Take the product out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Then plug the energy cost meter into a properly installed shockproof socket.

The device is now ready to be used. Detailed information regarding the operation and settings is given in the following sections in this user manual.

4.1 Display

Display:

The display shows information on consumption, the costs, the mains voltage and power.

5.2 Cost settings

To calculate the energy costs, set the kilowatt price per hour. The value to be set represents the cost per kilowatt-hour. The energy cost meter returns to the standard display after 10 seconds of inactivity.

Example: For a kWh price of 0.24 €/kwh, proceed as follows:

  1. Press and hold the „MODE“ button for about 4 seconds until the first number on the display starts flashing.
  2. The first number of the display flashes, skip it to set 24 cents per KWh.
  3. Press the „MODE“ button twice to flash the first digit after the decimal point.
  4. Press the „UP“ button until the display shows the desired value.
  5. Press the „MODE“ button again and set the second decimal point.
  6. Accept the settings by pressing the „MODE“ button again for approx. 4 seconds.

This product does not have an integrated battery. While the device is connected to a power outlet, the cost settings must be configured.

6. Reset device

The energy cost measuring device stores the relevant data and inputs. costs and consumption are stored in 0.10 steps and are maintained even without electricity. This includes the costs per KWh as well as the recording of „total costs & total consumption in KWh“. To restart the device or delete all recorded data, press the „RESET“ button on the front of the device using a pointed object.

Attention! Make sure that you do not injure yourself with the object!

5 Settings

5.1 Changing the modes

Press the "MODE" button to switch between the different modes. The change sequence is as follows:

CAUTION!

  • Do not connect in series!
    • Zero voltage only when the plug is removed!
  • Only for use in indoor spaces!
  • Do not connect any device in which the load exceeds 16A.
  • Ensure that the plug is fully and correctly inserted.
  • Clean the device with a dry cloth only.
  • Do not immerse the device in water! This product has a Power Down protection. All data is automatically saved when disconnecting the power.
  • The manufacturer gives a warranty in accordance with the laws applicable in your country, however, at least for 1 year (2 years in Germany). The warranty period starts on the date of sale to the end user.

7. Safety instructions and disclaimer

Never try to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The appliance is not waterproof, therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the device for any damage before using it. The device should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner.

Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons.

8. Disposal instructions
