How to install the CSL 301079 mouse?

Insert the USB receiver (located under the mouse) into a USB port on your computer. Open the battery compartment, insert two AAA batteries respecting polarity, close the compartment, and set the switch to ON. The mouse is ready to use without driver installation.

What type of batteries should I use?

Use 1.5 V alkaline AAA batteries. Rechargeable batteries (1.2 V) may cause malfunctions (pointer jumps, reduced battery life).

Why isn't my mouse working?

Check that the switch under the mouse is set to ON. Make sure the batteries are properly inserted and sufficiently charged. Ensure the USB receiver is correctly plugged in and the port works. If the problem persists, try reinserting the receiver or replacing the batteries.

How to change the mouse DPI?

Use the DPI switch on top of the mouse (button 2). The sampling rate can be adjusted up to 1600 dpi. Each press changes the sensitivity.

Is the mouse suitable for left-handed users?

No, the ergonomic vertical mouse CSL 301079 is designed only for right-handed users due to its asymmetrical shape.

How to clean the mouse?

4 Initial startup

Remove the mouse and the 2,4 GHz USB receiver from the packing and connect the USB receiver stick to your computer. The USB 2,4GHz dongle is situated on the bottom side of the mouse in the small transport slot as described in section 3 of the manual. Put it into a free USB port of your computer. Due to „Plug and Play“, this can even be done during current operation.

A manual driver installation is not required.

Now take the mouse and open the battery compartment on the bottom side and insert 2 new 1,5V AAA batteries into the provided holder. Please be sure to observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries (illustrated on the bottom of the compartment).

Information concerning the use of batteries:

Due to the lower battery- voltage of 1,2V, the function of the mouse cannot be guaranteed for each type of battery. Moreover, it is possible that malfunctions like mouse pointer jumps or reduced battery life can occur. For that reason, we recommend the use of 1,5V alkaline batteries.

Close the battery compartment and switch the slider to position „ON“.

The vertical mouse is now ready to operate.

5 Functions

Because of the ergonomic shape, this mouse is exclusively suited for right-hand-ed use. By using the dpi-button on the upper side of the device, you can select a maximal dpi rate of 1600. Additionally, this device offers high-navigation buttons („Previous Page“ and „Next Page“), which are thumb operated and can easily be reached.

6 Safety instructions and liability disclaimer

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read

7 Disposal instructions

8 Instructions on the disposal of batteries

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of quicksilver.

The symbol of the rubbish bin with a cross through it indicates that the battery may not be put in household waste.
