STANDARD: default mode; allows normal communication between ports.
EXTEND: open MTU VLAN, set PoE ports to full 10 Mbps and extend Ethernet up to 250 meters (820 ft.)

Connections
Connections
1 Use Ethernet cable (Cat5e min.) to connect powered device(s) to PoE port(s).
2 Use Ethernet cable (Cat5e min.) to connect switch to uplink port(s).
3 Wire the grounding terminal to an earth-grounding object to prevent power spikes.
4 Use the included power cord to connect the device (on the rear panel) to an AC outlet. The device supports AC 100 – 240 V, 50/60 Hz.

Prior to use, place/position the switch:
- on a level surface with at least 25 mm (approx. 1") of clearance for ventilation
- away from sources of electrical noise: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers within 100 m (approx. 328') of network devices it's to be connected to.
