USER MANUAL Sweet Mass LANAFORM

Thank you for choosing Lanaform's Sweet Mass, a high quality massage appliance.

The Sweet Mass, with its 12 rotating massage heads, will give you a deep massage while easing your back muscles. The Sweet Mass is also operated with a user-friendly control which fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. The Sweet Mass can be used whether you are in your car, in the office or at home.

1. IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES

Please read these instructions before using the appliance. Please also follow these instructions carefully while using the appliance.

To prevent the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:

• Only use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capabilities are impaired, or by persons lacking experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance first by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Please do not use accessories which are not recommended by Lanaform ^ or which are not supplied with this appliance.
• If the power lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a special or similar lead available from the supplier or its after-sales department.
• Do not use this appliance if the plug is damaged, if it is not working correctly, if it has been dropped or if it is damaged or if it has fallen into water. If this is the case, have the appliance inspected and repaired by the supplier or its after-sales department.
• Do not transport this appliance by carrying it by its power lead and do not use this lead as a handle.
• Never use drawing pins or other metal attachments with this appliance.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the mains after use or before cleaning it.
• Do not try to retrieve an appliance which has fallen into water; simply disconnect it from the mains immediately.
• An electrical appliance should never be left plugged in and left unsupervised. Disconnect it from the mains if you are not using it.
• Keep the power lead away from hot surfaces.
• Do not use this product before going to bed. Massage has a stimulating effect which may inhibit sleep.
• Do not use this massage appliance while you are asleep.
• Never let anything fall into and never insert anything into one of the openings.
• Never use this appliance in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used or in a room where oxygen is administered.
• Do not use this appliance under a cover or under a cushion. Excessive heat may cause a fire, electrocution of the individual or other injuries.
• To disconnect the appliance from the mains, turn all the buttons to the «OFF» position and then unplug it.
  • This appliance is intended exclusively for family use.
• For your safety, we recommend that you do not use this appliance while you are driving any type of vehicle.

• If you are worried about your health, consult a doctor before using this appliance.

• If you feel any pain while using this appliance, stop using it immediately and consult your doctor.

• Do not use this appliance for more than 15 minutes at a time.
• Never use this appliance on a part of the body which is swollen or inflamed or if you have any form of skin rash.
• This product is a non-professional massage appliance designed to relax tired muscles. Do not use this appliance as a substitute for proper medical care.

2. CONNECTING THE SWEET MASS TO THE MAINS

Connect the adapter to a 220/240V AC socket and connect the other end to the female input connector located on the side of the cushion.

Using the attachment belts located on the back of the cushion, attach it to a chair to enjoy a massage while reading, while resting or even while working.

You can also connect the cushion in the car by using the 12V adapter (supplied with the appliance) to be inserted into the cigar lighter. We would remind you that it is forbidden to use the Sweet Mass while driving.

N.B.: recommendation if the Sweet Mass is to be used on wooden surfaces: the zip fastener on the cushion might damage the wood on which it is placed. We also recommend a degree of care when using it on upholstered seats.

3. CHARACTERISTICS

- Massage movement

The massage movement consists of a circular deep mixing massage. The appliance is characterised by a massage mechanism which covers the whole of the back with its 12 massage heads distributed over the whole of the cushion.

- Removable flap

Take out the removable flap from the back of your cushion for a more intense back massage.

- Adapter

The massage cushion works with a 220-240V AC adapter designed especially for the appliance and supplied with it.

- Attachment belts system

The massage cushion is provided with a system of attachment belts which allow you to attach it to almost any chair. Simply slide the belts around the seat and them to fix the cushion in place. Your massage cushion will not slip or move.

5. USING THE SWEET MASS

A. Remote control

Sweet Mass control unit. Use this to select the desired massage function.

B.Switch

To start the massage functions, first press the SWITCH. The LED indicator lamp lights to confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, press the SWITCH again. The LED indicator lamp will go out.

C. Selecting the type of massage

Once the Sweet Mass starts, you can choose between 2 types of massage:

Clockwise massage.

Anticlockwise massage.

D. Massage intensity

You can select the massage intensity. To do this, press the corresponding LOW/HIGH keys. The corresponding LED indicator lamp will come on.

NOTES:

For your safety, the appliance is provided with an automatic shutdown system after 15 minutes.

6. MAINTENANCE

Storage

• Place the massage cushion in its box or in a dry place.
• Avoid it coming into contact with sharp edges and other pointed objects which might cut or pierce the fabric surface.
• In order to avoid any breakage of the power lead, do not wind it around the cushion.
• Do not hang the cushion up by the manual control lead.

Cleaning

• Disconnect the cushion from the power socket and wait for a few minutes before cleaning it.
• Clean it with a soft, slightly damp sponge.
• Never let water or any other liquid come into contact with the cushion.
• Do not immerse it in liquid to clean it.
• Never use abrasive detergents, brushes or a thinning agent to clean it.

No part of the cushion can be maintained by the user. For any repairs owing to a malfunction, take the appliance to your reseller who will ensure it is inspected by our after-sales department.

7. ADvICE ON WASTE DISPOSAL

• The packaging consists entirely of materials which do not pose any threat to the environment and which can be taken to your district sorting centre to be used as recycled materials. Cardboard can be placed in a paper collection skip. Packaging film wrapping should be taken to your district sorting and recycling centre.
• If you are no longer using the appliance, dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the legal guidelines. Take out the battery first and place it in a collection bin so that it can be recycled.

9. LIMITED WARRANTY

LANAFORM ^® guarantees that the product is free from any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years as from the date of purchase, except as stipulated herebelow.

The guarantee on this LANAFORM ^® product does not cover damage caused by inappropriate or misuse, accident, attachment of any unauthorized accessory, any modification made to the product or any circumstance of any kind beyond the control of LANAFORM ^® .

LANAFORM ^® cannot be held liable for indirect, consequential or special damage of any kind.

All implicit guarantees of the aptitude of the product are limited to two years as from the initial date of purchase.

On reception, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance as appropriate and will return it to you. This guarantee must be carried out by LANAFORM ^® Service Centre. Any maintenance of this product entrusted to anyone other than the LANAFORM ^® Service Center voids this guarantee.
