Important safety guidelines for this device
- This spoon scale is suitable for weighing small quantities of food items up to 300 grams.
- Do not overload the scale. This can damage the weighing cells irreparably. The maximum total weight of 300 grams should not be exceeded!
- Do not use the spoon scale as a stirring spoon!
- Do not use the spoon scale to dose any medication!

Check the spoon scale regularly to ensure that the device is not visibly damaged before use and the batteries are adequately charged.

Defective parts should only be replaced by original spare parts from the manufacturer.
- Protect the spoon scale against moisture and penetration by liquids.
- Do not fill hot liquids or food items into the measuring spoon.
- Do not leave items / food / liquids in the measuring spoon when the spoon scale is not being used.
- The precision scale has an accuracy of 0.1 grams. Please handle the spoon scale carefully and protect it from falling down, shock, dust, heat, extreme temperature fluctuations and chemicals.

Do not use the spoon scale near radio waves, mobile phones or magnetic fields, because this could affect the measurement.

Do not immerse the handle of the device in water or other liquids.
- The spoon scale is not dishwasher safe and should not be immersed in water.

- This device can be operated by children from 8 years of age and above, as well as by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or who lack knowledge or experience, if they have been supervised or instructed regarding safe use of the device, and understand the resultant dangers.

Notes for using the batteries
- Remove the batteries from the device if you do not intend to use it for a long time.
- Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children. Never leave the batteries lying around. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by children or pets.
- Seek medical help immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- Batteries should never be short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There is a risk of explosion!
- Protect the batteries from extreme heat.
Leaking or damaged batteries may cause burns if they come into contact with the skin.
Use suitable safety gloves in such cases.
- Ensure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
- Remove the batteries from the device if you do not intend to use it for a long time.
- When it is not being used for a long duration (e.g, storage), remove the batteries to avoid damage from leaking batteries.
- If a battery has leaked, prevent battery fluid from coming into contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If there has been a contact, wash the affected area with plenty of clean water and consult a physician immediately.

4. Usage
This digital spoon scale from Arendo helps you to accurately measure ingredients if you want to precisely weigh small quantities of spices, milk, oil or flour. Even a few drops of liquid can be weighed exactly. This can be fine quantities of 0.1 - 300 grams. The digital spoon scale therefore supports you to keep to your diet plan or to dose dried herbs and spices correctly. Simply take the required ingredients directly out of the container. There is no need to pre-portion or refill. The scale switches off automatically after 2 minutes of inactivity to save energy. In addition, the measurement results can be easily and quickly read on the LCD display.

5. Inserting the batteries
Power is supplied to the digital spoon scale by 2 AAA batteries.
- Open the battery compartment at the back of the product. Press the tab towards the battery compartment. Now you can remove the drained batteries.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Please pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and press it down until the it locks into place.
6. Usage
6.1 Switching on and off
Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the device. The display is switched on and the system is in zero position. You are now in standard weighing mode. After completing the weighing process, and the measurement result remains unchanged for 60 seconds, the spoon scale switches off automatically.
6.2 Changing the units of measure
Press and hold the / UNIT key to change between the units of grams (g) and ounces (oz).
6.3 Weighing
- Start the spoon scale by pressing the "ON / OFF" button.
- Fill the contents to be weighed into the measuring spoon.
- Make sure that you always keep the spoon scale horizontal and steady and that you place it on a level surface.
- If you want the measurement result to be displayed continuously, then press the "HOLD" button.
- Then empty the measuring spoon.
- Press the "HOLD" button before the next measurement.
6.4 Adding weights
You have the option of adding several individual measurements. Each individual measurement can be carried out up to max. 300g . The unit of measure cannot be changed when adding.
- First switch on the spoon scale. Carry out a measurement.
- Press the /UNIT button. The display shows the measurement result and .

You can then empty the measuring spoon. Now you can fill it again. After re-filling, the total weight of both the quantities is shown on the display.

The second and third step can be repeated again and again until a total weight of 3kg is reached. If the total weight is exceeded, the error message "O_LD" is displayed.
6.5 Tare / zero position
- If 0 is not displayed after switching on, press "TARE" and the spoon scale switches to zero position. You can then add the desired food items to the spoon.
- If you want to weigh food items along with a container, first place the empty container in the spoon. The spoon scale shows the weight of the container. Then press "TARE" and the spoon scale shows 0. Now you can measure the weight of the food items. The spoon scale shows the net weight.
- Press "TARE" once again after removing the container. The spoon scale then returns to normal mode.

Never try to open the device to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not approved for outdoor use. Therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components.
Check the device for any damage before using it. The device should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner. Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repair or modification to the device, which is not carried out by the original supplier, will void any warranty and guarantee claims. The device should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specifications of the device may be changed without any special prior notification.
9. Disposal instructions
In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic devices should not be disposed of along with domestic waste. Their components have to be sent separately for recycling or disposal, as improper disposal of toxic and dangerous components may permanently damage the environment.

He can return used batteries which the supplier offers or has offered as new batteries in his assortment free of charge to the supplier's dispatch warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries indicate the following: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by weight, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight.
