  • Make sure the Kettle is empty and has had time to cool before handling it.

  • Do not run any part of this appliance in the Dishwasher.
  • Never immerse the kettle or base in water or other liquids.

  • Base should only be cleaned with a soft damp towel and dried before storing. DO NOT USE RUNNING WATER.
  • Dry all parts thoroughly before storing or using again.
  • Depending on the water hardness of the water you use and the frequency of use, a boiled scale deposit is naturally formed and can be found mostly adhered to the heating element, thus reducing the heating efficiency. Descaling is recommended regularly to prolong the life of your Kettle. Boiled scale is not harmful to your health. But if poured into your beverage, it can give a powdery taste to your drink. Please refer to ‘Descaling Your Kettle’ section.

Descaling Your Kettle:

WARNING: Always unplug the product before any cleaning. Dry all parts after every use. Descale your kettle regularly to avoid tougher stains.

Descaling:

Descaling is the removal of mineral deposits from stainless steel. All water contains minerals including purified and filtered water. After your kettles first use you may see the first signs of deposits which may be white to reddish brown in color. These stains are not rust nor are they toxic.

Note: Reheating tea in your kettle may discolor or stain the stainless-steel surface at the base of the kettle.

To descale your kettle, fill a kettle full of water, add a small amount of white vinegar, and boil. Unplug the kettle and allow the solution to sit for an hour. For darker stains leave overnight. This will remove most deposits that have built up from normal use. Rinse out solution, add fresh water, and boil again. Allow to cool, follow with thorough cleaning, and dry before next use.
