CURLING YOUR HAIR

  • Dry your washed hair using a hair dryer and untangle using a wide tooth comb.
  • Divide your hair into sections about 3 cm wide.

Create natural curls, turned under

• Take up a section of hair and place the straightener at the roots with the curved plates facing the scalp. (1)
- Turn the i curl 90^ downwards so that the curved plates face outwards. (2)
- You can hold the stay-cool tip with your other hand so that it is easier to handle the straightener and maintain an even pressure on the section. (3)
- Slowly slide the straightener down the whole length of the section, from the roots to the tips. (4) + (5)

Note, the more even and the slower the stroke, the more marked the curl!

The curved plates release a cool shot that will set the curl.

  • Remove the straightener and use your fingers to twist the section again so that it takes its natural position. (6)
  • Repeat if necessary.
  • You may wish to set the curls using a light misting of hairspray.

Create more sophisticated curls that point out

• Take up a section and place the straightener at the roots with the curved plates facing your scalp. (7)
- Turn the straightener 90^ upwards so that the curved plates now point outwards. (8)
- You can use your other hand to hold the stay-cool tip to make handling the straightener easier and to maintain an even pressure on the section. (9)
- Slowly glide the straightener over the length of the section, from the roots to the tips. (10) + (11) Note, the more even and the slower the stroke, the more marked the curl!

The curved plates release a cool shot that sets the curl.

- Remove the i curl and use your fingers to twist the section again so that it takes its natural position. (12)

- Repeat if necessary.

- You may wish to set the curls using a light misting of hairspray.

TO STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR

  • Separate your hair into sections. Clip the upper sections to the top of your head so that you can work with the sections underneath.
    • Take up a section about 2 to 3cm wide and place it between the 2 heating plates, near the roots of your hair.
  • Press the straightener handles, hold firmly to keep the section and slide the unit slowly down the section from roots to tips.
    • Take up a new section and continue in this way until all your hair is straightened.
  • Repeat if necessary, then release the straighteners.

- Complete the style with a finishing touch. You may wish to set the straightening using a light misting of hairspray.

To shape your hair

The straightener can also be used to accent certain sections (fringe, flip, etc.) and lift the roots.

  • To lift the roots, take up a section and hold it vertically from your scalp. Then place the unit as closely as possible to the roots, close the plates on the section and rotate the unit toward the front to give as much volume to the roots as possible. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly straighten from the roots to the tips.
  • To shape your hair with the tips pointing under, follow the instructions above but turn the unit under (as you would a brush when blow-drying). Hold in place for a few seconds and release.
  • To turn the points outwards, follow the same steps but turn in the other direction.
    • After use, press the O button and unplug the unit.
  • Allow the unit to cool on the heat-resistant mat provided for this.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR STRAIGHTENER

  • Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely.
  • Clean the plates using a soft, damp cloth, without detergent, to preserve the optimal quality of the plates. Do not scratch the plates.
