Important information for correct disposal of the product in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC This product must not be disposed of as urban waste at the end of its working life. It must be taken to a special waste collection centre licensed by the local authorities or to a dealer providing this service. Separate disposal

of electric and/or electronic equipment (WEEE) will avoid possible negative consequences for the environment and for health resulting from inappropriate disposal, and will enable the constituent materials to be recovered, with significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of this equipment separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.

This product is in keeping with the relevant European Community Directives.

These speaker units have been developed specifically for use in emergency and evacuation systems and each has its own ceramic terminal strip and thermal fuse. These ensure the protection of the line connecting the loudspeakers if a fire puts one or more of the speaker units connected to it out of use. The spring-based fixing system and the bayonet coupling cut the installation time.

This ceiling fixture has a steel flame-proof cap, in order to comply with fire-fighting safety standards.

NOTE:

It is advisable to carry out these operations with the panel of the false ceiling resting on a supporting surface.

After making the hole in the false ceiling (see table with technical specifications), proceed as follows:

  • Remove the screw (A);
  • Unhook the perforated grille from the housing of the speaker unit by turning it in a CLOCKWISE direction.
  • Pass the cables for connection to the line through the holes provided for them in the flame-proof cap.
  • Connect the cable ends of the line to the terminal strip, based on the indications in Figures 2 and 3.
  • Fit the ceiling fixture into the supporting ring so that the slots in the perforated grille correspond to the internal protrusions on the ring and secure it in place by turning it in an ANTICLOCKWISE direction into it locks into place.
    • Tighten the screw (A);
  • Insert the housing of the speaker unit into the hole in the false ceiling, with the springs for hooking it in place pointing upwards. Release the springs from their locked position so that the ring remains hooked to the panel.
