How to adjust the refrigerator temperature?

Press the temperature adjustment button several times until the desired temperature (from 2 °C to 8 °C) is displayed. The recommended temperature is 4 °C.

When to use the Super function?

Activate the Super function 4 to 6 hours before storing a quantity of food of at least 2 kg for rapid freezing. It automatically deactivates after about 24 hours.

How to defrost the freezer compartment?

Activate the Super function 4 hours before, remove the food, turn off the appliance and unplug it. Place a pot of hot water inside to speed up defrosting, then wipe away the water with a soft cloth.

What to do in case of a power outage?

Open the appliance as little as possible. After the outage, check the quality of the food. Discard any that exceed 5 °C and cook those that are slightly thawed before refreezing.

How to clean the appliance?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Remove food and removable parts. Clean with a soft cloth, warm water, and neutral dish soap. Do not use a steam cleaner or abrasive products.

Why does water accumulate at the bottom of the refrigerator?

The drainage channel or defrost hole is blocked. Gently clean them with a cotton swab to allow the condensation water to drain.

How to change the door gasket?

Remove the old gasket from its groove. Warm the new gasket to soften it, then insert it gradually into the groove starting from the corners.

The LED light no longer works, what to do?

The LED light must be replaced by the after-sales service or an authorized professional. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Which foods should not be frozen?

Lettuce, radishes, eggs in shell, grapes, raw apples and pears, yogurt, sour cream, fresh cream, and mayonnaise are not suitable for freezing.

How to perform the appliance self-test?

Unplug the appliance for 5 minutes, then plug it back in. Within 10 seconds, press and hold the temperature adjustment button for 5 to 7 seconds until you hear a second beep. The self-test starts. Two beeps and a flashing 'Super' indicate correct operation.

These repair hints support consumer to repair appliances by himself according to the applicable eco-design regulation (as of 03/2021).

They contain information how to exchange defined spare parts including warnings and risks.

In case of questions, please contact our customer service. We will only be liable for damages if the repair hints have been followed properly.

1.2 Explanation of symbols

1.2.1 Danger levels

The warning levels consist of a symbol and a signal word. The signal word indicates the severity of the danger.

Warning level Meaning
Danger	Non-observance of the warning message will result in death or serious injuries.
Warning	Non-observance of the warning message could result in death or serious injuries.
Caution	Non-observance of the warning message could result in minor injuries.
Notice	Non-observance of the warning message could result in damage to property.

Hazard symbols are symbolic representations which give an indication of the kind of danger.

The following hazard symbols are used in this document:

2.1.1 All domestic appliances

Risk of electric shock due to live parts!

• Errors by repairs involving electrical components can lead to electrical shock!
  ■ Disconnect the appliance from the mains for at least 60 seconds before starting work.
  ■ After the repair have a safety test according VDE 0701 or country-specific regulations performed.

Risk of injury from sharp edges!

■ Wear protective gloves.

Risk of crushing during repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and service due to heavy and moving components

■ Wear protective shoes.
■ Secure heavy components from falling down.
■ Do not stick body parts into moving components.

Risk to the appliance's safety / function!
■ Only use original spare parts.
Risk of damage to electrostatically sensitive components (ESDs)!
- Do not touch the modules, including connections and conductor paths.

Repair

1. Release door gasket from the groove on right and left corner.

1. Pull out door gasket from groove.

Door gasket is removed.

Thickness of new door gasket may deviate slightly from thickness of old door gasket. This will not affect closing behavior and long-term function. If your appliance has adjustable hinges or hinge attachments, you can optimize the closing behavior subsequently. Small side holes in door gasket are functional (required for ventilation). These are not production faults.

Repair

1. Check groove for gasket for damage.

1. (if) If groove for gasket is it is damaged.

2. Contact customer service.

3. i Slight deformation of door gasket is normal and does not affect its function. It is recommended to straighten door gasket before inserting it into appliance.

Heat door gasket with a hair dryer or hot water and manually reshape it.

1. Push corners of gasket at the top and bottom to the groove.

1. Press whole gasket step by step into the groove.

4.2 Replacing flat hinge

Required tools:

Torx Bit TX20 6,3 mm (1/4") [00340865]

Prerequisite:

√ Appliance is disconnected from power supply.
√ Furniture door is removed. See Installation Instruction.
√ Door is open.

4.2.1 Removing flat hinge

1. Remove two hinge covers.

2. Slide out and remove door (2).

4.2.2 Installing flat hinge

• Appliance door removal operation should only be carried out by trained specialists.
  To move the appliance, two people are required.
  ▶ Use only suitable tools and equipment.

4.3.1 Removing sliding hinge

1. Unscrew two screws (1).
2. Remove upper hinge (2).
3. Remove door (3).
4. Unscrew two screws (4).
5. Remove lower hinge (5).

Hinges are removed.

4.3.2 Installing sliding hinge

▶ Install in reverse order.

Prerequisite:

Door is open.

▶ Pull out shelf.

4.6.1 Removing fruit and vegetable container

1. Pull out the fruit and vegetable container as far as it will go.
2. 1. Lift the fruit and vegetable container at the front (1).

3. Remove container (2).

Fruit and vegetable container is removed.

4.6.2 Installing fruit and vegetable container

Required tools:

Your appliance features a maintenance-free LED light. These lights may be repaired by customer service or authorised technicians only!

Danger to life through electric shock in case of improper repair - Electric parts should be repaired by a qualified electricians. - After the repair have a safety test according VDE 0701 or country-specific regulations performed.

1. Stick two suction cup on LED side light cover.

2. Pull suction cups forward in one rotary movement.

1. Remove LED module.

LED side light is removed.

4.7.2 Installing LED side light

Due to lamp cover hooks are easy to break during removal process spare part LED side light is the set that includes LED module and light cover.
