Frequently Asked Questions - Angelo Neno

How to use the Neno Angelo breast pump for the first time?
Before first use, charge the device for 2 hours via the USB cable. Then, clean and disinfect all parts that come into contact with milk (bottle, teat, valve, membrane). Assemble the breast pump as indicated in the manual (Fig. C) and start with stimulation mode.
What are the different modes available and what are they for?
The device offers three modes: Stimulation (rapid pumping to trigger milk flow), Expression (slower movements to extract milk), and Relaxation (imitates baby's sucking to completely empty the breast). Stimulation mode automatically switches to Expression mode after 2 minutes.
How to adjust the suction power?
Use the + and - buttons on the control panel to increase or decrease suction. There are 9 levels (L1 to L9) in each mode. Start at a low level and gradually increase until you feel slight discomfort (not pain), then reduce by one level.
What to do if suction is weak or absent?
Check that all parts are correctly assembled and that the parts (valve, membrane) are clean and undamaged. Disassemble and reassemble the device following the assembly instructions. If the problem persists, replace the consumable parts.
How to clean and disinfect the breast pump?
After each use, clean all parts that come into contact with milk with hot soapy water. Once a day, disinfect them by boiling, steaming, or using a sterilizer. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Allow to dry completely before reassembling.
When should the membrane and valve be replaced?
Replace the membrane every 8 weeks (or 3-4 weeks if used more than 3 times/day). Replace the valve every 2-3 months (or 4 weeks with intensive use). The teat should be changed every 6 months. Regularly check for cracks or deformations.
The breast pump turns off by itself after a while, is that normal?
Yes, the device has a built-in timer and automatically shuts off after 30 minutes of use for safety reasons. You can turn it back on if needed.
Can I use the breast pump during pregnancy?
No, it is strictly not recommended to use the breast pump during pregnancy as it may cause premature labor. Use it only after birth.
How to charge the battery and how long does it last?
Plug the provided USB cable into a 5V/1A power source. Full charge takes about 2 hours. The battery provides approximately 30 minutes of continuous use. The battery icon on the screen indicates the remaining level.
What to do if milk has overflowed from the bottle?
Turn off and unplug the device immediately. Wipe the breast pump with a damp cloth (not wet), then dry all parts before reassembling. Use a larger capacity bottle if necessary.

  4. After use, press the power button to turn off the breast pump and place a lid on the breast shield to keep it from accumulating dust.

a. The breast pump starts work in the stimulation mode. Set a comfortable suction level for you, using the +/- buttons Stimulation mode – fast pumping that mimics the natural sucking motion of a child and stimulates the milk flow.

b. After 2 minutes, the breast pump will automatically switch to the expression mode. Set the highest most comfortable suction level for you using the +/- buttons. If the milk begins to ?ow out of your breast before 2 minutes pass, press the change mode button to switch to manual milk expression.

Expression mode – slower pump motions that gently suck the milk out of the breast.

c. When using the expression mode, increase the sucking power until you feel a slight discomfort (not pain) and lower the suction power by one level.

The let down – mode mimics the same sucking pattern of baby by programing the suction speed and strength of suction. It can be used after expression mode to help mothers to empty the breast and increase your milk supply.
