USER MANUAL TKG PSGR 1050 KALORIK
Pepper and Salt Grinder
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.
Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down.
□ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. Never use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*).
☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
□ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
☐ Before cleaning, always remove the batteries.
☐ If the batteries leak, remove them, clean the contacts of the appliance and wash your hands.
☐ If you do not use the appliance for a long time, remove the batteries so that they do not leak.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.
BEFORE USE
- This appliance runs on 4 AA/(L)R06 batteries.
- To insert the batteries, remove the top cover of the housing from the salt/pepper tank by turning the housing cover counter-clockwise and remove it by pulling upwards.
- Remove the battery compartment cover (by pulling upwards) and insert the batteries in the compartment according to the - / + symbols which are inside the compartment. Put the battery cover back into place.
- To fill the salt/pepper tank, pull the battery/motor block (without turning it) off the salt/pepper tank and fill the transparent tank with salt or pepper.
- Put the battery/motor block on the tank and make sure that the 2 metallic sticks of the battery compartment are placed on the 2 small metallic rings of the tank.
- Place the housing cover on the assembled tank and battery/motor block and turn the housing cover clockwise. Then pull lightly on the tank and the housing cover to check that the unit is correctly assembled.
USE
- Before seasoning your meals, you can adjust the size of the ground salt and pepper by turning the setting wheel which is under the appliance.
- To do so, turn the wheel clockwise for smaller grind and do the contrary for larger grind.
- Hold the appliance above the meal to season and press the button which is on top of the appliance. The light lights the part you are seasoning.
Maintenance
Disassemble the different parts of the appliance and clean them separately with a damp cloth.
Battery
If your appliance does not work properly, it is probably because the batteries are discharged. In that case, replace them by new ones of the same type (cf. Before use). It is possible that if you try to use rechargeable batteries, the appliance will not function, which may be caused by the size or the charging capacity of the rechargeable batteries.
Please eliminate the old batteries in an environmentally friendly way.
