How to preheat the fryer?

Turn the timer knob to +5 minutes without food to preheat. The appliance only heats if the timer is set.

Can I use oil in this fryer?

Yes, but in small quantity. Toss the food with a little oil before placing it in the basket for a crispy result.

Why does smoke come out during first use?

This is normal. It is residual anti-rust oil on the heating element. Set the temperature to maximum and preheat for 10 to 15 minutes to eliminate it.

How to clean the basket and drawer?

Wash the removable basket and drawer in warm soapy water. Dry them thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal objects.

Are the parts dishwasher safe?

The manual recommends hand washing in soapy water. Dishwasher is not recommended.

What if the food is overcooked or undercooked?

Adjust the cooking time and temperature according to your food. Consult the cooking chart in the manual and adapt based on your experience.

How to store the fryer?

Unplug it, let it cool down, then store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Wrap the cord in the slot provided.

Is the fryer safe for children?

The appliance must not be used by children under 8 without supervision. Older children must be supervised. Keep the product and its cable away from children under 8.

Can I use metal containers?

Use only metal cooking utensils with insulated handles. The supplied basket is already suitable.

What if the timer does not work?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and the timer knob is turned correctly. If the problem persists, contact Beko authorized service.

1 Important safety and environmental instructions

This section contains safety instructions to prevent hazards that can result in injury or property damage.

Any warranty is void if these instructions are not followed.

1.1 General safety

• This appliance complies with international safety standards.
• This appliance is intended for home use and food preparation only, it is not suitable for professional use.
• This appliance cannot be used by children between the ages 0-8. The appliance can only be used by children aged 8 and over, provided that they are under constant surveillance. This appliance may be used by people who have limited physical, auditory or mental skills, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are provided with supervision or information about the safe use and hazards encountered.

• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children unless they are under the supervision of adults.

• Keep the product and the product cable out of the reach of children under the age of 8.

• Position the handles of the cooking appliances (if any) so that hot liquids do not spill and place them securely.
• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance is the same as the mains voltage in your home.
• Use the appliance in a grounding plug.
• Do not use the appliance with an extension cord.
• Do not place your appliance on or near heat sources such as ovens and stoves.
• To prevent damage to the power cord, prevent it from being pinched, crimped or rubbed against sharp edges.
• Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
• Do not immerse the appliance or its power cord in water.

• Do not move the appliance while it is in use and the oil inside is hot.
• Do not use the appliance in or near explosive or flammable environments and substances.
• To avoid the risk of burns, do not touch hot surfaces.
• Let the appliance cool down in a safe place out of the reach of

children.

• Do not block the air inlet and air outlet openings while the appliance is operating.
• Do not lean over while the appliance is in use. Hot air rises from the appliance during use!
• The appliance becomes hot during use. To avoid the risk of burns, do not touch hot surfaces.
• Make sure that the room is adequately ventilated during use.
• In case of fire, unplug the appliance.
• Do not pour water on the appliance, as it may cause electric shock hazard.
• Do not operate the appliance with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
• Only use metal kitchenware with insulated handles with the appliance.
• Do not put anything on the appliance while it is operating or hot.
• To disconnect, turn the timer dial and temperature dial to the

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

1.1 Compliance with the WEEE Directive and Disposing of the Waste Product:

This product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). This product bears a classification symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

This symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed with other household wastes at the end of its service life. Used device must be returned to official collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic devices. To find these collection systems please contact to your local authorities or retailer where the product was purchased. Each household performs important role in recovering and recycling of old appliance. Appropriate disposal of used appliance helps prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.

1.2 Compliance with RoHS Directive

The product you have purchased complies with EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU). It does not contain harmful and prohibited materials specified in the Directive.

1.3 Packaging information

The product's packaging is made of recyclable materials, in accordance with the National Legislation. Do not dispose of the packaging waste with the household waste or other wastes, dispose it to the packaging collection areas specified by local authorities.

1.4 Important points for saving energy

Comply with the times recommended by the manual while using the appliance. Unplug the appliance after each use.

Signs on the appliance and values specified by the documents provided along with the product have been obtained under laboratory conditions in accordance with the related standards. The values may vary based on use of the appliance and ambient conditions. Power values have been tested in the voltage of 230 V.

2 Operation

2. Intended use

• The appliance is intended for home use only, it is not suitable for professional use.
  • The appliance may emit some smoke when you use it for the first time. This is normal.

2.1 Preparing the appliance for use

- Use the appliance in an upright position on a stable, flat, clean, dry and non-slip surface.

Before using the appliance for the first time, remove the packaging materials and place the appliance in a flat and clean area.

Grab the handle (5) firmly to release the removable cooking basket (7); then, take the drawer out of the appliance.

To release the basket from the drawer, place the drawer on a flat surface. Slide the protection cover (3), press the basket release button (4) and raise the basket from the drawer and remove it.

Clean the basket drawer (6) and removable cooking basket (7) with warm soapy water and afterwards, dry thoroughly outer surface of the appliance and the parts you just washed.

There are 2 notches on both sides of the handle. Lock the basket in the drawer by sliding the tabs into the notches on the top of the basket drawer.

Attach the drawer to the appliance after cleaning all parts. Your appliance is ready for use.

Do not use the basket drawer (6) without the removable cooking basket (7) therein.

2 Operation

2.2.1 Cooking

- Blend food with oil before placing it in the removable cooking basket (7).

WARNING: Do not grab directly the basket drawer (6) and the removable cooking basket (7) while hot, but grab the handle.

Grab firmly the handle of the removable cooking basket (7) to open up the basket drawer (6); then, take the drawer out of the appliance and position on a flat and clean surface.

Place foods in the removable cooking basket (7). Then attach the basket to the appliance and make sure it fits completely.

Plug your appliance in and set the timer and temperature control knob according to the type of food. The appliance starts cooking.

• If your appliance is cold, turn the timer knob (1) to +5 minutes for preheating.
• Your appliance will not heat up unless you set the timer dial.
• To ensure that the cooking/frying process is uniform, remove and shake the basket drawer and check it, if necessary. If necessary, adjust the temperature.
• You can turn off your appliance in any time by simply turning timer button to "0" position.

When shaking food, make sure the basket is in the locked position. Do not press the basket release button (4) while stirring ingredients in the removable cooking basket (7).

Avoid contact of the cooking basket with the outer surface of the appliance, since surface of the cooking basket (7) will be hot during and after cooking.

2 Operation

Warning sound will be heard when the set time is up and your appliance turns off automatically.

Take the removable cooking basket (7) out and check the food, whether it is fried or frozen or not. If it requires additional cooking time, you can prolong the cooking time a little bit more.

After the process is completed, pour the ingredients in the basket into a bowl or plate. Since the hot or dribbling oil may be accumulated in the lower portion of the removable cooking basket (7), do not forget to take the basket with ingredients out of the basket drawer before serving the food.

• Let foods rest for 5 to 10 seconds before taking them out of the removable cooking basket (7).
• Use tongs to remove large or soft foods from the basket.
• When a batch of food is ready, the product is instantly ready for another batch.
• Perform the preparations after taking the removable cooking basket (7) out of the appliance, if necessary. Place the removable cooking basket (7) on a table mat after taking it out of the appliance.

• Note that the appliance may be very hot during the removal.
• When the cooking is completed, bring both the temperature control dial and timer dial to "Off" and "0" positions.

• Silicone in the cooking basket is resistant to high temperatures and produced from a material that does not cause any harm, when used along with food. It fundamentally prevents the basket coating from being scratched. Therefore, be sure that it is not removed while cooking food.
• Be aware of hot steam that may be outlet while pulling the basket drawer (6) out and do not touch with your bare hands, because it is highly hot.
• Use an auxiliary tool (tongs etc.) that would cause no damage on the interior surface of the appliance to take out the cooked foods.

3 Recipes

The table below gives an overview of cooking times for different foods. Cooking time varies based on thickness and texture of foods. Consider the recommended time and amounts as approximate values.

Perform a pre-heating process until the appliance reaches up to the recommended temperature specified in the table before cooking process to achieve successful results.

4 Cleaning and maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Never use gasoline, solvent, abrasive cleaners, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.

Turn the appliance off and unplug it. Wait for the appliance to completely cool down.

Take the removable cooking basket (7) out of the drawer.

Take the removable cooking basket (7) and basket drawer (6) to cool your appliance down faster.

Press the basket release button (4) and raise and pull up the handle (5) upwards and thus take the removable cooking basket (7) out.

Clean the removable cooking basket (7) and the basket drawer (6) with warm soapy water and then, dry thoroughly.

Use a damp cloth to clean the outer surface of the appliance. Dry the outside of the appliance completely.

Keep the base and drawer of the removable cooking basket (7) always clean to avoid foreign substance accumulation.

4 Cleaning and maintenance

4.2 Storage

• If you do not intend to use the device for a long time, store it carefully.
• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing it.
• Store the appliance in a cool dry place.
• Store the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.

4.3 Transportation and shipping

• During transportation and shipping, carry the appliance with its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance will protect the appliance against physical damage.
• Do not put heavy objects on the appliance or its package. The appliance may get damaged.
• If the appliance is dropped, the appliance may not operate or permanent damage may occur.

5 Troubleshooting

Čvrsto uhvatite ručku (5) da biste otpustili korpu za kuvanje (7); zatim izvadite fioku iz aparata.

Da biste izvadili korpu iz fioke, postavite fioku na ravnu površinu. Gurnite zaštitni poklopac (3), pritisnite dugme za otpuštanje korpe (4) i podignite korpu iz fioke i uklonite je.

2 Rad

Nakon što je proces završen, sipajte sastojke u korpu u činiju ili tanjir. Pošto se vrelo ulje ili ulje koje curi može da se nakupi u donjem delu korpe za kuvanje (7), ne zaboravite da izvadite korpu sa sastojcima iz fioke za korpe pre nego što servirate hranu.

Pritisnite dugme za otpuštanje korpe (4) i podignite i povucite ručicu (5) nagore i tako izvadite korpu za kuvanje (7) koja se može ukloniti.

Očistite uklonjivu korpu za kuvanje (7) i fioku korpe (6) toplom vodom sa sapunom, a zatim ih dobro osušite.

4.3 Transport i otprema

• Za vreme transporta i otpreme, aparat nosite u originalnom pakovanju. Ambalaža uređaja ga štiti od fizičkih oštećenja.
• Ne stavljajte teške predmete na aparat ili njegovu ambalažu. Uređaj se može oštetiti.
• Ako aparat padne, aparat možda neće raditi ili može doći do trajnih oštećenja.

5 Rešavanje problema
