How to set the FM frequency on the Hama 00014163 transmitter?

Press the (5) button for 2 seconds until the display flashes. Then use the < or > (volume) buttons to select the desired frequency. The transmitter automatically saves the last frequency.

Why is there no sound after plugging in the transmitter?

Check that the transmitter is on (indicator or display). Make sure your car radio is tuned to the same frequency as the transmitter. Also check the AUX or USB connection. If using an AUX cable, ensure it is firmly inserted.

Can I charge my smartphone with the USB port of the transmitter?

Yes, the USB charging port (indicated by a symbol) delivers 5V/1A, enough to charge most smartphones. However, the total consumption of connected devices must not exceed 1000 mA.

What audio file formats are supported via the USB stick?

Only MP3 format is supported. The USB stick capacity must not exceed 32 GB.

How to connect a device via the AUX cable?

Plug the transmitter into the 12V socket of the vehicle. Then connect your device (smartphone, tablet) to the transmitter using a 3.5 mm AUX cable (supplied or not). Start playback on your device and set the frequency on the transmitter and car radio.

The transmitter turns off by itself, is this normal?

Yes, the transmitter has automatic standby. In the absence of music signal or key press, it turns off after 50 to 60 seconds. Pressing a key or resuming music reactivates it.

Can I use the USB port for something other than a USB stick?

The USB port (2) is for USB sticks only. It does not provide charging current. To charge a device, use the USB charging port (1).

How to clean the FM transmitter?

Use a slightly damp non-lint cloth. Do not use harsh detergents. Disconnect the transmitter before cleaning.

6.GettingStartedandOperation

Plug the FM transmitter into a power socket of your vehicle's electricalsystem, and then establish the connection between themobiledeviceandtheFMtransmitterusinga 3.5-mmAUX cable. Nowstartmusicplaybackonyourterminaldevice.
