How to charge the battery for the first time?

Before first use, charge the battery for at least 12 hours and a maximum of 72 hours. Connect the supplied mains cable to the device and to a 230 V socket. The charging LED lights up white.

Can I use the device on battery without mains connection?

Yes, after full charge, turn off the device, disconnect the mains cable, then turn it on again. The built-in battery then powers the device.

How to connect a wireless microphone?

Insert two 1.5 V R6 batteries into the microphone. Turn on the microphone. The device has a built-in UHF antenna. Adjust the volume using the W-Mic. knob on the front panel.

How to play music via Bluetooth?

Press the Mode button repeatedly until BT mode is selected. Enable Bluetooth on your device and search for 'Vonyx ST180MKII'. Connect. Playback starts automatically.

What to do if the sound is too low or distorted?

Check the Master (master volume) and Line (input volume) settings. Reduce the equalization (Treble/Bass) and effect (Echo, Delay) settings if necessary.

How to clean the device?

Use a dry, soft cloth. Never use chemical products, aerosols, or liquids that could damage the coating or penetrate inside.

The device no longer turns on, what to check?

Check that the mains socket is working and the power cord is not damaged. If using the battery, make sure it is charged. The fuse (on the back panel) may be defective; have it checked by a technician.

Can I use the device outdoors?

No, the device is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose the device to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures (5°C to 35°C recommended).

How to program a playlist on the CD/USB/SD player?

Press the PROG button. Use the previous/next buttons to select a track, then press PROG again to add it. Repeat. Press Play to start the programmed playback.

What to do if the remote control does not work?

Check that the IR sensor (front panel, reference 11) is not obstructed. Replace the remote control batteries. Make sure the selected mode (CD/USB/BT/SD) is active.

Congratulations to the purchase of this Vonyx product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product in order to benefit fully from all features.

Read the manual prior to using the product. Follow the instructions in order not to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.

• Prior to using the product, please ask advice from a specialist. When the product is switched on for the first time, some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear after a while.
• The product contains voltage carrying parts. Therefore do NOT open the housing.
• Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the product. This may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
• Do not place the product near heat sources such as radiators, etc. Do not place the product on a vibrating surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
• The product is not suitable for continuous use.
• Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
• When unplugging the product from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
• Do not plug or unplug the product with wet hands.
• If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
• If the product is damaged to such an extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug the product into a mains outlet and DO NOT switch the unit on. Contact your dealer. Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.
• To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the product to rain and moisture.
• All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
• Connect the product to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
• During a thunderstorm or if the product will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.
• If the product has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before you switch it on. Never use the product in humid rooms or outdoors.

• If this product is with speaker inside which can cause magnetic field. Keep the product at least 60cm away from computer or TV.
• If the product has built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery. Please recharge the battery every 3 months if you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time. Or the battery may be damaged.
• If the battery is damaged please replace with same specifications battery. And dispose the damaged battery environment friendly.
• If the product has fallen, always have it checked by a qualified technician before you switch the product on again.
• Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the varnish. Only clean the product with a dry cloth.
• Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
• Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.
• Switch the product off prior to unplugging it from the mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables prior to moving the product.
• Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults!
• The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if power outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains voltage of the country is suitable for this product.
• Keep the original packing material so that you can transport the product in safe conditions.

FRONTPANEL

1. MIC - 6.3mm (1/4") jack for connecting microphone
2. Line Input - 3.5mm jack for connecting units with line level (e.g. CD/MP3/DVD player, hi-fi system, PC)
3. LED - Indicator for battery low, charge, microphone and power.
4. Master - Determines the overall level of the portable sound system
5. Line - Volume control line-input
6. Treble/Bass - Adjust tone control for treble and bass
7. Delay - Adjust the delay time of the echo effect
8. Echo - Adjust the echo effect
9. Level - Adjust the volume of echo effect
10. Mic. Vol - Adjust the volume wired microphone
11. W-Mic. - Adjust the volume wireless microphone
12. Power - Turns the portable sound system on and off

CD/USB/SD/BT PLAYER

1. Power - Press the button to turn the player on and off.
2. Repeat - Press the button to choose the repeat mode in between one or all.
3. Folder search - Press the button to select previous or next folder map.
4. Mute - Press the button to enable and disable between mute function.
5. Previous or next track - Press the button shortly to play the previous or next track. Press and hold to rewind back or fast forward the track and release the button to resume playing.
6. Program - Press the button to create playlist.
7. CD Eject - Press the button to eject or load your CD.
8. Shuffle/Enter - Press the button to change the play mode, songs are played in a randomized order.
9. IR - Infrared sensor for the remote control.
10. Play/Pause - Press the button to toggle between play and pause function.
11. Mode - Press the button to switch between CD/ BT / USB / SD card mode.
12. Volume/Setup - To adjust the desired volume of the player.
13. CD-Slot - Insert a CD so far into the slot until it is automatically pulled in.
14. USB-Slot - Connect your USB devices to this slot to play music with MP3 or WMA format.
15. SD/MMC-Slot - Connect your SD/MMC devices to this slot to play music with MP3 or WMA format.

BACKPANEL

1. Antenna - Connect wireless microphone antenna (good position is at an angle of 45°)
2. AC input - Connect the supplied mains cable here. 230Volt/50Hz
3. External battery - Connect external power supply/battery DC 12Volt.
4. Fuse - External battery fuse holder.
5. Line output - For passing on the mixed signal, e.g. to a recording unit or to a further active speaker system.
6. Fan - Intern cooling system. Never cover the fan holes!

UHF WIRELESS MICROPHONE

Operation of the hand-held microphone via 2x 1.5V batteries type AA.

Wireless microphone in the low-interference UHF-band (863.1MHz and 864.5MHz) the system is license-free.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

External AC

Plug one end of the AC cord provided into the AC input jack (1) on rear side of the amplifier. Then plug the other end of AC cord into AC power outlet. Turn on the unit using the main power switch.

External DC

This unit can be powered also using external 12V DC power. Connect external 12V DC power to DC input connector on rear side of the amplifier. Observe the correct polarity!

Rechargeable Battery

This unit can be powered internally using the built-in rechargeable battery. When AC power is connected, CHARGE LED indicator will light white. Shut off the power switch and disconnect the AC power. Turn the power "ON" and the rechargeable battery will power the unit alone.

ATTENTION:

Before the device the first time is actuated, please charge the battery at least 12 hours and max. 72 hours!

When the portable sound system is not in use for a longer period of time, the rechargeable batteries have to be charged every month. Otherwise danger of permanent power loss or battery damage.

This device is equipped with a class 1 laser diode. To ensure a safe operation do not remove any covers or attempt to access the inside of the product. There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
