How to prepare coffee with the Beper BC.040N machine?
Fill the water heater with cold water without exceeding the safety valve, insert the funnel filter with ground coffee (do not tamp), screw on the container, place on the base, close the lid, press the on/off button. Coffee comes out after a few minutes. For 1 cup, use the reducer and fill water 2 cm below the valve.
How many cups of coffee can I prepare?

Read the following instructions carefully, since they give you useful safety information about installation, use and maintenance and help you avoid mishaps and possible accidents.

Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact, with special attention to the supply cable.

The elements of the packing (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc) do not have to be accessible to the children, in order to preserve them from danger sources. It is recommended not to throw these packing material in the domestic waste, but to deliver them to the appropriate station of collection or destruction refusals, asking eventually information to the manager of the Sanitation Department of your own municipality.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Before connecting the appliance make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the data specified on the label.

Safety warnings

This machine has been manufactured to “make coffee”. Never use other extracts, cocoa powder, chamomile, other infusions or soluble substances: these may block the holes in the filter.

During cleaning, never immerse the base and the boiler in water: this is an electrical appliance.

Be careful to avoid being scalded by spraying water or steam or due to the improper use of the appliance.

When using the appliance do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the buttons or handles.

Fill the boiler with water before placing the coffee maker on the support structures.

Do not let the power cord come into contact with the metal parts of the coffee maker when it is running.

The support base and the boiler become very hot during operation, do not touch these parts to avoid the risk of scalding.

Do not lift the lid while the coffee maker is running; wait a few minutes after switching off before lifting the lid as the sudden release of steam could cause burns.

Do not leave the power cord plugged in unnecessarily, always unplug it when not using the coffee machine.

Do not pull on the power cable to unplug it.

If the cable is damaged, replace it by contacting authorized centres only.

Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or other liquid and avoid letting liquids infiltrate.

Assembling

Place the appliance on a stable surface, far away from water taps and sinks and heat sources.

Check that the voltage of the mains power supply corresponds to the value indicated on the appliance's rating plate. Only connect the appliance to a power outlet that is properly earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability for any accidents caused if the system is not correctly earthed.

How to prepare the coffee Fig.B

Check that the coffee maker is cold, and then unscrew it by holding the boiler with one hand and turning the handle of the pitcher anticlockwise with the other.

Remove the funnel filter.

For 3 cups of coffee, fill the boiler with fresh water until reaching the safety valve that is visible also inside the boiler without exceeding it. For 1 cup of coffee, fill the boiler with water up to around 2 centimeters below the safety valve.

Use tip: use fresh, low-limescale water, to preserve the flavor and tasting of the coffee.

Important: do not use the coffee maker without water in the boiler or with hot water.

Insert the funnel filter in the boiler. For one cup of coffee, also insert the 1 cup filter adapter in the funnel filter.

Fill the filter with ground coffee, without pressing it. Fill it a little at a time to avoid spilling.

Distribute the ground coffee evenly and remove any excess from the edge of the funnel filter.

Important: use good quality, medium-ground coffee for MOKA coffee makers. Do not use barley coffee with this coffee maker.

Tighten the coffee maker securely, without exaggerating, holding the boiler with one hand and turning the pitcher clockwise with the other, without pushing on the handle.

Place the coffee maker on the support base. Close the pitcher lid.

Press the on/off switch. After a few minutes the coffee will come out from the dispenser.

When coffee stops coming out, pour it into coffee cups and stir it well before serving.

Coffee will be ready in about 4-5 minutes.

⚠️ Important: before first use, all the accessories (with the exclusion of support base) must be washed with hot water. Then make a few batches of coffee to throw away.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before performing the cleaning operations, wait for the coffee maker to cool down after use.

Clean the inside of the dispenser periodically.

Regularly check all the filters and the gasket. Replace if there are signs of wear or deterioration. Use original spare parts only.

Every so often check to make sure that the holes in all the filters are not blocked; if necessary, clean using a pin.

Do not wash the coffee maker in the dishwasher.

When cleaning the boiler, do not use solvents or abrasive detergents. Simply clean it with a sponge, making sure not to wet the electrical parts.

When the disc filter and the gasket are removed to be cleaned or replaced, it's important to reinsert them properly in their place to avoid dangerous leakages of hot water.

Warning: never rinse the boiler under running water and never immerse it in water. Fig.C

GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE

This appliance has been checked in the factory. From the date of original purchase a 24 month guarantee applies to material and production defects. The purchase receipt and the guarantee certificate must be submitted together in case of claim to guarantee.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

If the appliance shows defects as a result of faulty material and/or production during the period of guarantee, we guarantee repair free of charge on condition that:

  • The appliance has been used properly and for the purpose for which it has been intended.
  • The appliance has not been tampered with, otherwise it is not maintainable.
  • The purchase receipt shall be presented.
  • The appliance showing a fair wear and tear shall not be covered by this guarantee.

Therefore, any part that could be accidentally broken or having visible signs of use in consumable products (such as lamps, batteries, heating elements...) the aesthetic parts are excluded from the guarantee, and any defect whatsoever resulting from non-respect of the rules for use, negligence in usage and/or maintenance of the appliance, carelessness, wrong or improper installation, damage during transport and any other damage not attributable the supplier.

For every defect that could not be repaired within the guarantee period, the appliance will be replaced free of charge.
