How to install an additional hard drive in the S380 HomeBase?

Turn off the HomeBase, remove the top cover, loosen the screw and remove the hard drive bracket. Attach your 2.5-inch SATA hard drive to the bracket using the provided screws, then reinsert the bracket and tighten the screw. Replace the cover. The hard drive must be initialized via the eufy Security app.

How many cameras can I connect to the S380 HomeBase?

The S380 HomeBase can pair up to 16 cameras eufy Security.

How to connect the S380 HomeBase to the network?

Power on the HomeBase and connect it to your router. Wait until the LED turns blue (up to 1 minute). Download the eufy Security app, create an account, add the HomeBase, and follow the instructions in the app.

What type of hard drive can I use to expand storage?

You can use a hard drive (HDD) or SSD with a SATA interface in 2.5-inch format. Recommended brands include Western Digital, Seagate, SAMSUNG, Kingston, PNY, Crucial, and SanDisk.

How to reset the S380 HomeBase?

Use the reset hole located on the device. Insert a paperclip or similar tool and hold it down for a few seconds. This will restore factory settings.

What is the recommended operating temperature?

The ideal temperature for the system is between -10 °C and 45 °C. When powering, place it in an environment between 5 °C and 25 °C with good ventilation.

Can I use the S380 HomeBase outdoors?

No, the provided adapter is intended for indoor use only. The HomeBase itself must be used in a dry and temperate environment.

How to transfer data from my old hard drive before installing it?

Before installing a hard drive in the HomeBase, transfer all your data to a secure location, as initialization via the app will erase all data on the drive.

What to do if the status LED does not turn blue after powering on?

Make sure the HomeBase is properly connected to your router and that the power adapter is working. If the problem persists, try resetting the device via the reset hole.

What is the maximum output power of Wi-Fi and Sub-1G?

For the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, the maximum power is 19.58 dBm (EIRP). For the Sub-1G band (866-866.8 MHz), it is 12.973 dBm (ERP).

Prepare Your Hard Drive

Your hard drive must meet the following requirements:

Install Your Hard Drive

S380 HomeBase must be powered off when you install or remove a hard drive.

1. Push down the top lid to remove it.

1. Loosen the screw, then pull out the hard drive bracket.

1. Fix your hard drive to the bracket with the provided screws.

1. Insert and screw the bracket back to S380 HomeBase, then put the top lid back into place.

- You can follow the steps above to expand the storage whenever necessary. - A new hard drive must be initialized through the eufy Security app to work with S380 HomeBasc.

1. Power on and connect S380 HomeBase to your router.

ADDING TO EUFY SECURITY APP

1. Download and install the eufy Security app, and sign up for an account.

1. Add S380 HomeBase to your device list, and follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.

Follow the in-app instructions to add your eufy Security devices to the S380 HomeBase.

- One S380 HomeBase can pair up to 16 cameras.

SAFETY

• Do not use the device in the environment at a too high or too low temperature, never expose the device to strong sunshine or too wet environment.
• The suitable temperature for T8030 and accessories is -10^ to 45^
• It is recommended to supply the device in an environment with a temperature that ranges from 5^ 25^ .
• When supplying, please place the device in an environment that has a normal room temperature and good ventilation.
  • The adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
• Please ensure to use only the adapter offered by the manufacturer. Using unauthorized adapter may cause danger and violate the authorization of the device and the guarantee article.
• This adapter is for indoor use only. The adapter type (for S380 HomeBase) is KA2401A-1202000DE, rated output voltage/current is 12 Vdc/2A. The plug is considered as disconnect device of adapter.
