1. Open the left and right panels and secure with 6
2. Use 8 short screws to secure the bottom panel.
3. Attach foam seal A and B.
4. If you are using the drain kit, assemble and
install it on the sleeve before installing the rear grille. Attach the foam gaskets to the cover plates and insert the bent hose into the cover plate that has a hole in it.
5. Install the cover plate with the tube on the outlet
at the back of the sleeve. It can be placed on either the left or right side. Install the other cover plate on the other side. Make sure the tube’s position will allow the sleeve to fit in the wall and that the drain is positioned so that water will drain outside of the house and not into the interior of the wall. NOTE: Straight tube for use in special circumstances, such as drain bottom side
6. Attach insulation strips to the rear grille in the
7. Insert the four middle screws into the pre-drilled
holes in the rear grille so that they protrude on the same side as the foam. Attach the rear grille to the sleeve by sliding the holes in the rear grille over the protruding screws on the sleeve as shown.
8. Once the holes in the rear grille clear the head
of the screws in the sleeve, pull down on the rear grille so that the screws slide into the “U” holes as shown.
9. The rear grille is properly installed when the
screws in the sleeve slide into the bottom of the “U” holes on the rear grille.
10. Add two additional screws through the rear
grille into the sleeve as shown.
11. Insert the sleeve into the wall. Install the air
conditioner and secure it with the four long screws. 9.3”

is quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal oper ating conditions intended by the manufacturer. This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter “Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danb y, and is non-transferable.

Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for outdoor application, including but not limited to: garages, patios, porches or anywhere that is not properly insulated or climate controlled). During the first twenty four (24) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s option, at no charge to the original purchaser. Contact the dealer where the unit was purchased, or contact the nearest authorized Danby service depot, where service must be performed by a qualified service technician. If service is performed on the unit by anyone other than an authorized service depot, all obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be void. Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an authorized service depot. Any appliance requiring service outside the limited boundaries of “In Home Service”, will be the consumer’s responsibility to transport at their own expense to the original point of purchase or a service depot for repair. If the appliance is installed in a location that is 100 kilometers (62 miles) or more from the nearest service center, it must be delivered to the nearest authorized Danby Service Depot by the purchaser. Transportation charges to and from the service location are not protected by this warranty and are the responsibility of the purchaser. Plastic parts ar e warranted for thirty (30) days from the date of purchase, with no extensions provided.
