How to turn on the RW16R receiver?

Press the POWER button for about 1 second. The receiver turns on and the screen displays information.

How to synchronize the transmitter with the receiver?

1. Turn on the receiver. 2. Turn on the transmitter (press and hold ON/OFF for 3s). 3. Align the IR ports of the transmitter and receiver. 4. Press the ASC button on the receiver. The screen flashes then becomes steady.

What to do if the receiver does not turn on?

Check the power supply (adapter plugged in) and the proper connection of cables. Repeat the power-on procedure.

What to do if the transmitter does not turn on?

Check that the AA batteries are inserted correctly and are charged. Replace them if necessary. Press ON/OFF for 3 seconds.

How to replace the capsule of the handheld transmitter?

Unscrew the existing capsule counterclockwise. Replace it with a Shure-compatible capsule. Screw it back on firmly.

Which batteries to use for the transmitters?

Use two alkaline batteries of type AA LR6 1.5V. Observe the polarity indicated in the compartment.

What is the range of the RW16 system?

The range depends on the environment. In open field, it can reach approximately 100 meters. Obstructions reduce the range.

How to adjust the audio level on the receiver?

Turn the INPUT LEVEL knob on the front panel of the receiver. The AF indicators help you adjust the optimal level.

Can I use multiple RW16 systems together?

Yes, each system offers 16 channels. Use different channels to avoid interference. The ASC function facilitates assignment.

How to clean and maintain the system?

Unplug the power supply. Clean the surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid liquids. Store in a dry, dust-free place.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

WELCOME!

Thanks for purchasing a product designed and developed in Italy by dBTechnologies! RW16 is the result of a long experience in the digital radio transmission field applied to the audio field. It uses optimised solutions for an easy configuration and robustness of use.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The RW16 wireless system, in the version with hand-held radio microphone (RW16 MS), or bodypack (RW16 BS), can operate at frequencies of 823-832 MHz / 863-865 MHz. 16 channels are available to the user. The system is versatile and ready for use. Its main features include:

• 2-antenna RW16R receiver with diversity reception system
- hand-held transmitter with the possibility of quick capsule change (Shure compatibility)
- bodypack transmitter with headset included and mini-xlr connector
• balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (TRS) system audio output

3. TRANSMITTER RW16M

The RW16M hand-held radio microphone features the following controls:

1. on/off LED
2. on/off button
3. openable battery cover for accessing the battery compartment
4. IR infrared port

RW16M sync procedure:

• connect the receiver's power supply cable to a power outlet. Press the on/off button for about 1" to turn it on.
• unscrew the Battery Cover and insert the supplied batteries into the transmitter, respecting the indicated polarity. Press the on/off button for about 3" to turn it on.
• align the IR ports as shown in the figure
• press the ASC sync button on the receiver. The display starts flashing and stops once the operation has been completed.

4. TRANSMITTER RW16B

The RW16B hand-held radio microphone features the following controls:

1. mini-XLR connector
2. on/off LED
3. on/off button
4. battery cover
5. microphone attenuation selector (2 positions: 0 dB / -10 dB)

RW16B sync procedure:

• connect the receiver's power supply cable to a power outlet. Press the on/off button for about 1" to turn it on.
• open the battery cover and insert the supplied batteries, respecting the indicated polarity. Press the on/off button for about 3".
• align the IR ports as shown
• press the ASC sync button on the receiver. The display starts flashing and stops once the operation has been completed.

5. BRIEF TROUBLESHOOTING.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION
The receiver does not turn on • Make sure power is present upstream of the system, verify the proper connection of the wiring, and repeat the activation procedure.
The transmitter does not turn on • Check that the batteries are properly inserted and charged; replace them if necessary. Repeat the activation procedure
The mixer does not receive the audio signal	• Check the wiring and the input level on the receiver. Repeat the sync procedure if necessary.
