RIVIERA & BAR QPL550 - TABLE SERVICE - 2

NOTE

  • The hotplate is mounted on the stand.
  • When you remove the hotplate, empty the collector drawer and place it back into the stand. This will allow the grease to drain into the drawer while serving at the table.
  • Be careful not to burn yourself with the juices and grease in the collector drawer when lifting and moving the hotplate. Keep the hotplate horizontal to prevent juices from spilling out, or the drawer from sliding out of the stand.

RIVIERA & BAR QPL550 - NOTE - 1

Important remarks

  • Before removing the hotplate, always turn the temperature knob to ● and the switch to Off "O" before unplugging the power cord.
  • Make sure you don't put anything under the hotplate once it has been put on the table to serve the food.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Food should be at room temperature. We suggest taking it out of the refrigerator one hour in advance.
  • As this appliance is equipped with a non-stick hotplate, using oil or other types of fat is not always necessary.
  • Before grilling sausages, we recommend that you prick them to allow any excess fat to drain out.
  • Do not salt the meat until it is cooked. This would make the meat tough and drain its juices. Vegetables, on the other hand, will taste better if they are salted beforehand.
  • When cooking "tougher" meats (such as chops or cutlets, etc.), we recommend that you tenderize them by marinating them for a few hours in wine or vinegar.
  • Remember to marinate your meat and fish in mixtures containing spices or condiments. This will make your grilled food more fragrant and your griddle-cooked food more tender.
  • If you are making a recipe that calls for a marinade, or pre-marinated meats, remove any excess marinade and dab the meat with absorbent kitchen paper before placing it on the hotplate.
  • Oil-based marinades can produce a lot of smoke. You may need to place the appliance under an extractor hood.
  • Please be aware that sweet marinades can burn and stick to the hotplate when cooking.
  • Do not prick the meat with a fork or cut it while it is cooking. This would allow its juices to escape and make the meat tough.
  • Food that is seared quickly is tastier. We therefore recommend that you set the temperature to the maximum setting. Reduce the temperature if the food tends to blacken or burn.
  • Always use wooden or thermoplastic utensils to turn your food and avoid damaging the hotplate plaque.

RIVIERA & BAR QPL550 - TIPS & TRICKS - 1

Important remarks

  • Before cleaning or caring for your appliance, it must be unplugged and allowed to cool down.
  • Never immerse the main body of the appliance, the hotplate or the power cord in water or any other liquid.
  • The electrical connectors on the main body of the appliance must never come into contact with liquids (grease, cooking juices, water...).
  • The hotplate and grease collector drawer are dishwasher safe.
  • It is imperative that the hotplate, its electrical pins, and the connectors on the main body of the appliance are completely dry before the hotplate is repositioned.
  • The hotplate has a non-stick coating. Do not use chemicals or abrasive cleaning products or steel wool to clean it or the various parts of the appliance.
