How to use the kettle for the first time?

Before first use, clean the inside carefully with a soft cloth. Fill with water to the maximum level, boil, and discard the water. Repeat the process a second time.

What is the maximum water capacity?

The maximum capacity is 1 litre, indicated by the MAX mark inside the kettle. Do not exceed this level to avoid boiling water splashes.

Can the kettle heat anything other than water?

No, the kettle is designed exclusively for boiling water. Do not use it to heat milk, soups, or other liquids, as this could damage the appliance.

Why does the kettle turn off before the water boils?

This may be due to excessive limescale build-up. Descale the kettle following the instructions in the manual. Also ensure the lid is properly closed during operation.

How to descale the kettle?

Fill the kettle with water to the maximum level and bring to a boil. Then add two cups of cider vinegar or one tablespoon of citric acid. Let it sit for a few hours, then rinse thoroughly. Finally, boil clean water and discard it.

Can the lid be opened during boiling?

No, never open the lid while the water is boiling. The steam is very hot and can cause burns. Wait for the water to stop boiling and the kettle to turn off automatically.

Can the kettle be used without water?

No, never operate the kettle without water. This could damage the heating element and cause a fire. The overheat protection will cut off the power, but it is better to always fill at least to the minimum level.

How to clean the exterior of the kettle?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Clean the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Never immerse the kettle, base, or cord in water.

Can I leave water in the kettle after use?

1.1 General safety

• This appliance complies with the international safety standards.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• Do not use it if the power cable or the appliance itself is damaged. Contact an authorised service.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household only. It is not designed for professional use in:

1 Important instructions for safety and environment

• Do not touch the appliance or its plug with wet or damp hands when the appliance is plugged in.
• Do not pull the power cable when unplugging the appliance.
• This appliance is intended for private domestic use only and is not suitable for professional-catering purposes.
• Never fill the appliance above the maximum level indicator, boiling water may splash out.
• Do not fill the kettle below the minimum level indicator.
• Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
• Position the lid so that the hot steam is directed away from you.

3.1 Preparation

1. Remove all packaging and sticker materials and dispose of them according to the applicable legal regulations.
2. Before using the appliance for the first time, clean all parts which come into contact with water carefully. (See the "Cleaning and care" section).
3. Completely roll out the power cord from the cable coil (6) on the bottom of the base (7). Pass the power cord through the slot on the base.
4. Clean the kettle well before initial use and discard water of first two boiling cycles.

3.2 Operation

1. Push the lid release button (2) on the kettle to open the lid (3).

2. The lid (2) opens automatically.

3. Fill the water tank with water.

Do not place the water tank on the base while filling it with water.

Never fill the water tank above the maximum level indicator or below the minimum level indicator.

1. Close the lid (2) until it clicks into place.
2. Place the water tank on the base (6). Make sure that it is sitting in an upright and stable position.
3. Insert the plug into the wall socket.

4. Press down On/Off switch (5).

5. On/Off switch (5) illuminates and boiling process begins.

Lid (2) should always be closed during the boiling process; otherwise the kettle will not switch off automatically.

1. After a few minutes, the water will start to boil. The kettle switches off automatically and On/Off switch (5) moves upwards.

2. The function indicator goes off.

If you want to stop the heating manually, push the On/Off switch (5) upwards.

1. Disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
2. Take the water tank from the base (6). Only hold it by the handle (4).

WARNING: Do not open the lid (2) as hot water could splash out. Make sure that no water splashes onto the base (6).

1. Pour the water from the spout (1) to the cup or glass you want to use.

If you want to continue the boiling process, repeat the procedure from 1 to 10.

Let the kettle cool down between each heating process.

Hints and Tips

• Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime build-up.

4 Information

4.1 Cleaning and care

WARNING: Never use petrol solvents, abrasive cleaners, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.

WARNING: Never put the appliance, base (6) or power cord in water or any other liquid.

1. Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from wall socket.
2. Let the appliance cool down completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a little mild cleanser to clean the exterior of the appliance.

Before using the appliance after cleaning, dry all parts carefully using a soft towel.

4.2 Descaling the kettle

Descaling extends the life of your kettle. Descaling period depends on the water hardness of your area.

1. Fill the heater with water up to the maximum level and boil.
2. After the heater is switched off, unplug the appliance.
3. Add 2 cups of white vinegar or 1 tablespoon of citric acid into the boiled water.
4. Keep the solution in the heater for a few hours.
5. Then pour it and rinse the inner part of the heater thoroughly.
6. Fill the heater with clean water and boil it.
7. Then empty the heater and rinse with water again.

4.3 Storage

• If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long period of time, please store it carefully.
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged, cooled down and completely dry.
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
• Make sure the appliance is kept out of the reach of children.
• Wind up the power cord around the cable coil (6) on the bottom of the base (7).

4.4 Handling and transportation

• During handling and transportation, carry the appliance in its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance protects it against physical damages.
• Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or the packaging. The appliance may be damaged.
• Dropping the appliance will render it non-operational or cause permanent damage.
