Frequently Asked Questions - WKM7306C BEKO

How do I descale my Beko WKM7306C kettle?
To descale, fill with water to maximum level and boil. Unplug, add 2 cups of white vinegar or 1 tablespoon of citric acid. Let sit for a few hours, then pour out and rinse thoroughly. Boil clean water twice to remove any residue. Descaling extends the life of your kettle.
What is the maximum capacity of the kettle?
The exact capacity is not specified in the manual, but it is approximately 1.7 liters. Always fill between the minimum and maximum level indicators.
Can I open the lid while the water is boiling?
No, never open the lid during boiling as hot water may splash out. Wait until the kettle has switched off and cooled down.
Why does the kettle switch off before boiling?
This could be due to scale buildup. Descale the kettle as described. Also ensure the lid is closed properly; if open, the kettle may not switch off automatically.
How do I clean the water filter?
Press the release downwards to remove the filter. Clean with water and a little lemon juice or white vinegar using a soft brush. Reinsert from above until it clicks.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Do not use the appliance. Contact an authorised service centre or the manufacturer for replacement.
Is the kettle suitable for commercial use?
No, it is intended for domestic use only. Commercial use may void the warranty.
How should I store the kettle when not in use?
Unplug, let cool and dry completely. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Wind the cord around the base coil.
What does the illumination on the On/Off switch indicate?
The switch illuminates when the kettle is heating. It goes off when boiling is complete or when switched off manually.
Can I use the kettle without water?
No, never operate without water. This can damage the appliance and cause safety hazards. Always fill at least to the minimum level.
