How to turn on the player?

Why does my player not show a removable disk on the computer?
The player has no internal memory. Make sure you have inserted a Micro SD card. If the card is missing, the computer may recognize the player without showing a disk.

User Manual – MP3/4 player with 4GB micro SD card

Usage of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN MIND:

  1. Do not cover or block any ventilation openings. When placing the device on a shelf, leave 5 cm (2") free space around the whole device.
  2. Install in accordance with the supplied user manual.
  3. Keep the device away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, candles and other heat-generating products or naked flame. The apparatus can only be used in moderate climates. Extremely cold or warm environments should be avoided. Working temperature between 0^ and 35^ C.

  4. Avoid using the device near strong magnetic fields.

  5. Electrostatic discharge can disturb normal usage of this device. If so, simply reset and restart the device following the instruction manual. During file transmission, please handle with care and operate in a static-free environment.

  6. Warning! Never insert an object into the product through the vents or openings. High voltage flows through the product and inserting an object can cause electric shock and/or short circuit internal parts. For the same reason, do not spill water or liquid on the product.

  7. Do not use in wet or moist areas such as bathrooms, steamy kitchens or near swimming pools.

  8. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and make sure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on or near the apparatus.

  9. Do not use this device when condensation may occur.   19. This product is intended for non professional use only and not for commercial or industrial use.

  20. Make sure the unit is adjusted to a stable position. Damage caused by using this product in an unstable position vibrations or shocks or by failure to follow any other warning or precaution contained within this user manual will not be covered by warranty.

  21. Never remove the casing of this apparatus.

  22. Never place this apparatus on other electrical equipment.

  23. Do not allow children access to plastic bags.

  24. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  25. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power supply cord or the plug, when liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, when the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

● Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

INSTALLATION

  • Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
  • Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage and before all other connections have been made.

- Connect to the PC & Download audio files from PC

  1. Make sure that your computer is on before you plug the player onto your computer.
  2. The player is without built-in memory, when connect the player to computer via the enclosed USB cable:

2.1. If the player is with memory card inserted, as soon as your computer recognizes the player, it shows as a removable disk on your computer.
2.2. If the player is with no card inserted, your computer can still recognize the player, but it will not show any removable disk on your computer.

  1. Then drag and drop files from your computer onto the player (provided the player is with inserted memory card).

Note:

• The battery indicator shows charging when the player connects to the computer.
- Do not disconnect the player from computer during data transfer, it may damage the player.
- When the switch button is off, plug it to your computer and you still can recharge the player.

Important:

  • There is 'ON/OFF' switch button on the bottom of the player, switch it to 'ON' to turn on the player;
  • When the switch button is at 'ON', you can also long press the central button to turn on/off the player;
    • In case no use of the player for long, we suggest you fully recharge it, then switch the button to 'OFF';
  • The player is without built-in memory, please insert Micro SD card into the player before operation;

BASIC FUNCTIONS

● Power ON/OFF

  1. Turn the switch to 'ON' and the player will power on.
  2. If the player does not power on, then press and hold the central button to power on.
  3. When there is no operation on the player, it will power off automatically after 120s idle time.

Each time you push the arrow button 'K/X', it will move you to one of the icons: Music, Movie, Recorder, Voice, Picture, Ebook, Folder view, and Settings.

- Listen to Music

Select icon Music and push the central button to enter, the playing interface will appear as below:

1) Press the central button toPlay/Pause the current track.

2) Press right or left arrow key to go to next/previous track.

3) Press and hold right or left arrow key to fast forward/rewind.

4) Press the button M to enter sun-menus: Repeat, Equalizer, Variable speed, Replay, Exit. Then push the central button >B setup accordingly.

5) When there's a lyric file with same name as the current track, the 'Lyrics status' will appear green, press and hold the button. For a while, the lyrics will appear synchronously on the display; press return button to exit lyrics.

6) Push the volume button to increase/decrease the volume.

Note:

The player is with 'Ear protect' function, when increase the volume to a certain high level, a warning image will appear as below, please press the button No confirm understanding of the warning, also the volume limit will be cancelled.

Lenco Listening with high volume may harm your hearing. Press 'M' to cancel volume limit!

- Movie

Select icon Movie in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

Please refer to above MUSIC operation instruction, they are almost the same.

Note:

1) Volume adjustment: Adjusting volume when playing the video is not visible in display, only when pause the video firstly

2) Video conversion: please convert the video file on your computer firstly with the preloaded toolkit, then copy the converted video to the micro SD card and insert the card to the player; video without conversion to 160*128 may not be supported on this player, for more information of video conversion go to support on Lenco.com.

- Recorder

Select icon Recorder in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

1) Press central button >|| to start voice recording, press it again to pause the recording;
2) You can press the button M before recording to enter sub-menus, Select "Cardfolder", "REC type" or "exit" menu;
3) Press the return button ↩ to exit recording and the recorded files will be saved automatically;

Note:

The recorded files will be stored in an individual folder 'VOICE' on your micro SD card inserted, you are requested to return to main menu and enter 'Voice' to play the recorded files.

- Voice

Select icon Voice in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

1) Press again the central button >|| to Play/Pause the current recorded file.
2) Press right or left arrow key to go to next/previous file.
3) Press and hold right or left arrow key to fast forward/fast backward.
4) Press the button M to enter sun-menus: Repeat, Replay mode, Exit.
5) Push the volume button to increase/decrease the volume.

Picture

Select icon Picture in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

1) Press right or left arrow key to go to next/previous image.
2) Press the return button to exit.

E-Book

Select icon Ebook in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

1) Press right or left arrow key to select an E-book and push the central button to start playing.
2) During playing, press right or left arrow key to select next/previous page.
3) Press the return button to exit.

- Folder view

Select icon Folder view in the main menu, and push the central button to enter,

1) Press the central button on 'Card folder' to enter, all supported files will be listed.
2) Press right or left arrow key to select one file, and push the central button to start playing.
3) Press the return button to exit.

- Settings

Select icon Settings in the main menu, push the central button to enter, and a list of settings will appear as below:

1) LCD set: push central button on 'Backlight' to enter, push the right or left arrow key to select from 0-60 sec, the display will get dark after the certain time set, the player is still on, just the display is off.
2) Language: push the right or left arrow key to select a language, then press the central button to confirm.
3) Power off:

  • Off time: Select from '0-200 Sec' and press the central button to confirm, if the player is in idle, then it will be shut down automatically after the set time.
  • Sleep time: Select from '0-120 Min' and press the central button to confirm, the player will be compulsively shut down after the set time, regardless the Player is working or not; Select '0 Min off' to disable this function.

4) Memory info: press the central button and it will show information of the 'Card Capacity'.
5) Format Device: press the central button to enter, select 'Ok' to format the micro SD card inserted into the player, then all files on the card will be deleted.
6) Firmware info: press the central button to enter, it will display 'Version' & 'Date' on the display.
7) Key tone: press the central button to enter, select from '0-40' and push the central button to confirm, when press any button there will be tone heard from the earphone.
8) Restore device: Restore factory settings, select 'OK' and push the central button to confirm restoring, the player will reboot;

Note:

Please backup your files on the micro SD card before you confirm to 'Format Device'.

Install the video converting tool

1. Double click
