- Read all instructions before using.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Before use, check that your local voltage corresponds with the specifications shown on the appliance nameplate located under the appliance.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- Check that the electrical installation is compatible with the wattage and voltage stated on the bottom of the appliance.
- If this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other), it is to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
- To disconnect the appliance, remove plug from the wall outlet.

Short Cord instructions
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used :
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

- Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use.
- Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.

Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface such as a dish towel.
Select a dry, level location where the grill will be used, leaving enough space between the back of the grill and wall to allow heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls.

Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.

55 Plug the power cord into an outlet.
If an extension cord is used: take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone from tripping over the extension cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
The power supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance must not be used.
On first use, there may be a slight odor and a little smoke during the first few minutes. In these cases, open the windows and wait until there is no more smoke or odor.

6 The orange indicator light comes on to indicate the grill is heating.
When the temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn off.
Allow the grill to preheat for several minutes before grilling and until the light goes out.
3 - Cooking

108 Important: the appliance is hot during use.
Close the cover and allow food to cook for the selected time. If desired, use a kitchen timer.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use or when plugged in.
Important: Do not use heavy pressure on the lid of the grill at any time.
To prevent heat loss and for even cooking, do not open the lid frequently.
For best results, do not overload the grill.
Remember that since the grill is cooking from both sides, cooking time will typically be shorter than expected. Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
9 Once cooking is complete, carefully open the grill cover using a pot holder.
Always use silicone, heatproof plastic or wood utensils to avoid scratching nonstick surface of grill plates. Never use metal spatulas skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
Never cut directly on the grill plates.
10 Do not remove the drip tray while cooking.
If the drip tray becomes full when cooking, let the appliance cool down before emptying.
Wash and dry drip tray after each use.
To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, do not cook food in aluminium foil.
Never run the appliance empty.
Do not place cooking ustensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.

12 To avoid accidental burns, allow grill to cool thoroughly before cleaning.
The appliance must remain closed while cooling down.
13 Place drip tray under front of grill.
Use plastic spatula to scrape off any excess fat and food particles left on the grill plates directly into the drip tray.

To remove stubborn buildup, use a nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing pad to clean the grill plates.
Do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool or any abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill; use only nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing pads.
Empty drip tray and wash in warm, soapy water; dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
To clean the grill cover, wipe with a warm, wet sponge and dry with a soft, dry cloth.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
