General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil. There is a danger of suffocation!
Special Safety Precautions for this Appliance

WARNING:
- Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- Do not manipulate any safety switches. Misuse of the appliance may result in injury.
• This appliance shall not be used by children.

WARNING:
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. - Appliances can be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understood the hazards involved.
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

CAUTION:
Do not immerse the appliance into water for cleaning. Please follow the instructions as stipulated in the chapter "Cleaning".
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from the package.
- Remove all packaging material such as films, filler, cable holders and cardboard.
- Check the delivery contents for completeness.
- Should the package contents be incomplete or damages be found, do not take the appliance into operation. Take it immediately back to the dealer.

NOTE:
Dust or production residues can be located on the appliance. We recommend to clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Notes for Use
Location
A slip-resistant, level surface is suitable as the location.
Power Cord
Unwind the power cord from the bottom part. Pay attention to the cable routeing of the power cord.
Closing and Opening the Lid
Observe the symbols on the lid and appliance.
- Position the lid with the ▼ symbol aligned with the ♂ symbol.
- Tighten the lid clockwise. The lid is locked when both ▼ and □ are aligned with each other.
- To open the lid, turn it counterclockwise and pull it off.
Filling Quantity
Note the marking in the container. Do not exceed the marking MAX. That equals to an amount of approx. 40 g.
Electrical Connection
- Check that the mains voltage that you want to use corresponds with the one of the appliance. You will find the information about this on the type plate of the appliance base.
- Connect the power cord to a properly installed protective contact socket.
Switching On/Off
- Press the ⏻ button to switch on the appliance. The ring around the button lights up.
- When releasing the button, the appliance will turn off. The ring around the button goes out.

NOTE:
The motor drive of the appliance is equipped with a safety switch. If the appliance cannot be turned on, check the correct fit of the lid.
Pulse Operation
Press the ⏻ button in intervals to operate in pulse mode.
Short-term Operation
- The appliance is suited for a short-term operation of a maximum of 30 seconds.
- Only use the appliance in immediate succession for a maximum of 5 times.
- Let it cool down to room temperature before using it again.
Using the Appliance
- Add the coffee beans into the container. Observe the marking MAX. Do not overfill the container!
- Put the lid on. Lock the lid.
- Hold the appliance with one hand. Press the button with the other hand.
- Work in pulse operation for an optimal result. This helps you set the level of fineness for the beans you are grinding.
The following contains some comments on the degree of fineness for the powder and the intended purpose. Please observe that these are only average values.
Changes may occur due to the sort and roasting of the coffee beans, for example.

- To empty the container, remove the lid.
Terminating Operation
- Pull the power cord out of the socket.
- Remove the lid.
- Fill the coffee grounds into another suitable container.
- Clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".
Cleaning

WARNING:
• Always remove the plug before cleaning!

WARNING:
- Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
- The cutting surfaces of the knives are sharp. There is a risk of injury! Handle these with the necessary care!

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
- Only use a damp dish cloth to clean the outside of the appliance. Then dry it with a dry towel.
- Use a dry brush to remove coffee grounds residue.
- Use a little dishwashing liquid and clean thee lid in warm rinsing water.
- Only place the lid on the appliance when all parts are completely dry.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and let it dry completely.
- We recommend that you store the appliance in the original packaging, should you not want to use it for a longer period of time.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well ventilated and dry location.

The mains cable can be wound up on the base.
Troubleshooting
