  • Longer extension cords are available, but care must be exercised in their use. While use of an extension cord is not recommended, if you must use one, ensure that the marked electrical rating of the extension cord is equal to or greater than that of the appliance. If the plug is of the grounded type, the extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord. To avoid pulling, tripping or entanglement, position the extension cord so that it does not hang over the edge of the counter, table or other area where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding. Accessory parts may be contained within the packaging material. Before using, wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth then dry thoroughly. Operate the toaster the first time without any food in the toaster slots and with the browning control knobs set to darkest settings. This will eliminate any residual manufacturing oils. Please note that a small amount of smoke and/or odor may occur upon heating due to the release of manufacturing oils - this is normal. Some minor expansion/contraction sounds may occur during heating and cooling - this is also normal. CAUTION: Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.English - 4

1. Place toaster on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from any edge or

flammable materials. Plug cord into 120-volt, AC outlet only.

2. Place one piece per toaster slot of bread, bagels, English muffins, pastry slices,

etc., into bread slots. Select toast color setting from 1 (light) to 7 (dark). Place one slice only of the food to be toasted in each slot.

3. Press the toast lever(s) down until locked into place. The toasting cycle will

automatically begin. Toaster must be plugged in for toast levers to lock in place. Toast will pop up and toaster will turn off when the selected color is reached. After the toast has popped up, the Ultimate Lift™ lever can be raised to safely assist in removing foods. The toast cycle can be stopped at any time by pressing the cancel button(s). Note: Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.

4. Unplug the cord from wall outlet when not in use and allow to cool before cleaning.

Bagel Setting: The bagel setting will add additional time for toasting bagels. To use, press toast lever down and press the bagel button. The bagel indicator light will glow when activated. Both sides of the bagel will be toasted. Defrost Setting: The defrost setting will take the bread/frozen pastry from frozen to toasted in one step. To use, press toast lever down and press the defrost button. The defrost indicator light will glow when activated. Waffle Setting: Use the waffle setting to toast frozen waffles. To use, press toast lever down and press the waffle button. The waffle indicator light will glow when activated. Note: The above settings can only be activated after the toast lever is pushed down and locked.English - 5

  • Toasting can be stopped any time by pressing the “Cancel” buttons.
  • Use the “Defrost” setting for frozen foods. They may also require a darker setting.
  • While it is not recommended, if you do toast foods with frosting or icing, toast at the lowest setting with constant attention.
  • Do not cook, warm, or toast fried foods, rice cakes, or non-bread items in the toaster. Do not heat any foods that have been spread with butter, jelly, frosting, syrup, or other spread.
  • Unplug the toaster immediately if fire or smoke is observed.
  • If food becomes lodged inside the toaster, unplug the cord from the wall outlet and allow the toaster to cool completely. Turn the toaster upside down and shake to dislodge.
  • Never insert a metal fork or any other metal objects into the toasting slot.
  • Please note that many variables factor into making toast; moisture content and temperature of the bread, thickness, sugars and starches, and grains can all affect the browning of the bread when making toast.
  • Wheat and whole grain breads tend to require longer toasting times. We recommend toasting somewhere between settings 3 and 5; adjust to your preference.
  • When toasting, you may notice variations in toast color from side to side. This is normal, especially when toasting one slice of bread.

CLEANING YOUR 4-SLICE TOASTER

1. Unplug toaster from outlet and allow to cool before cleaning. Slide crumb trays

out from under toaster, empty and wipe clean with damp cloth if necessary. Replace the crumb trays. Note: Failure to clean crumb tray regularly may result in a fire hazard.

2. Wipe the outside surfaces of toaster with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not

use any metal or abrasive scouring pads or cleansers on any toaster surfaces. To clean the inside of toaster, turn toaster upside down and shake crumbs free.

3. Wrap the cord around the clips on the underside of the toaster for storage, if

desired. CAUTION: Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. This appliance has no user serviceable parts.F(CH&B)$T'(('A),$ '00=6J<;4$\$,4J3$E6M6/49$TJ33J</L$ 3/#$*4/"2
